Chapter 3 Did The Tough CEO Go Crazy?
- This was too sordid.
- And I smiled.
- I caught myself actually smiling at this crazy idea. Was I really losing my mind?
- Well, at first glance, it was something a woman with principles wouldn’t do. But I couldn’t stay untouched for the rest of my life. Besides, I wouldn’t be tainted by having just one man. After this, I’d retire from any adventures with men.
- Just once.
- I grabbed my phone from the counter and sent a message to Sky: "Good evening, can we meet at the Garden Shows restaurant? I need to discuss an important work matter."
- I didn’t expect a reply, thinking he might be with some women at this hour. To my surprise, it took less than a minute.
- "I’ll be there in 30 minutes."
- It didn’t take long for me to put on a black satin dress that ended just above the knees. I paired it with heels that matched the dress, light makeup, and waves in my short hair.
- I called a taxi so I wouldn’t have to drive. My plan was to talk about work, have a few drinks, and see where things would go between us. By showing some interest, he’d give in quickly. Not that I’m particularly charming.
- The place was spacious—not too fancy to require perfect manners, but not too casual to show up in just anything. It was perfect for the occasion.
- As I walked through the door, I spotted Sky waving me over to his table.
- He had settled in one of the corners, but as soon as I arrived, he grabbed both drinks he had ordered and, after looking me up and down, motioned for me to follow him upstairs.
- We ended up in a more private area, away from most people, with a stunning view of the city.
- "Mr. Thompson."
- He extended his hand to greet me as he placed the drinks on the table. Instead of shaking his hand, I moved closer to his muscular frame, placing one hand on his chest and kissing him on the cheek.
- Before pulling away, I whispered, "I just wanted to make up for slapping you earlier..."
- I forced a slight smile, which he returned.
- "Miss Calleman, no need to be so formal. You can call me Sky."
- With that, his hand found my slim waist, giving it a light squeeze.
- That’s it. I’d awakened him. It was easier than I thought.
- We sat down, and to mask my intentions, I talked about a new project I was overseeing that seemed like a success. He seemed to like books and understood the subject a bit. It was a little unusual—maybe I was wrong, and he had joined the business out of genuine interest.
- I made sure to have a few drinks, and he noticed my enthusiasm.
- "Elys, do you think you can handle that much alcohol? Maybe take it slower..."
- There was no malice in his expression, only care and caution. I found his reaction strange—it was unexpected.
- "Alright, I’ll take your advice."
- Without any difficulty, I flashed a perfect smile, which he noticed effortlessly. His gaze dropped, and he smiled too.
- Was he... embarrassed?
- "Wait a moment, I need to use the restroom," Sky nodded.
- Strategically, as I stood up, I pretended to trip and fall into his lap. My move was so flawless that even I was surprised.
- Our faces were too close, our breaths mingling. In an act of desperation, I lowered my head. "I-I’m sorry, Sky. I tripped..."
- His hands were too quick, one holding the back of my neck while the other gripped my waist with desire, pulling me closer onto his lap.
- He didn’t waste time, pressing his sweet, drink-stained lips to mine. I couldn’t deny it—this felt good, really good.
- Instinctively, I swung my leg over to the other side, straddling him and kissing him back. For a moment, I ran my fingers through his hair as the kiss deepened. My body wanted more, so much more.
- I had no idea what I was feeling, only that it was stronger than me or any rational thought.
- I completely lost my everyday senses—I was consumed by desire for this man.
- "Sky..." I said breathlessly, trying to catch my breath, still close enough to feel his.
- Unexpectedly, he pulled my hair—not to hurt me, but just enough to make me look him in the eyes.
- "What’s your plan, Mrs. Calleman?" His tone was cold and serious. It made me freeze in place. I’d never felt so scared or vulnerable from just a man’s gaze.
- "W-what do you mean, Sky? I..."
- "You’re either too drunk, or you called me here thinking that kissing me would make me disappear from your life. I already said I’d behave, so why..."
- "Alright, I confess." He let go of my hair, looking at me to continue. "I really wanted to get rid of you, but... there’s something different about you. You make me feel vulnerable, and it’s horrible."
- He laughed, taking a deep breath, looking at me with a hint of disdain, as if he didn’t believe a word.
- "It’s true, Sky. I’m tough, as they say, and you... you make my body crumble."
- Abruptly, I stood up to leave. This had gone too far.
- However, I was stopped by a hand gripping my wrist tightly.
- "Wait. Are you sure about what you want? You can’t regret this or kick me out later."
- "I want you."
- NO! How did I have the courage to say something like that? It was insane. The worst part was that a small part of me did want him, while the other was stuck in this crazy plan. In my head, it made sense and would work.
- Pulling me by the waist, he opened the door of his car for me and closed it once I was inside.
- "Don’t tell me you’re taking me home..."
- "To my house."
- The bad-boy look he had while turning the steering wheel of his luxury car was incredibly charming. A shiver ran down my spine, from top to bottom.
- I stared at the scenery during the ride, barely noticing when his hand rested on my thigh, slowly moving up my leg, stopping between them.
