• "Guys! I'm breaking up with Gray," Mae dropped the bombshell on me and Rick over the phone, and I gasped, as did Rick. We were in the middle of our group video call, and I could see the shock on Rick's face.
• "You guys just started dating, how many weeks now? 2?" Rick asked in disbelief. Well, I wasn't surprised. That's typical Mae for you. She changes boys like clothes and won't even admit any fault in the breakup. Always blaming the boys. I snorted inwardly, knowing Mae's pattern all too well.
