Chapter 21 Marianne

• Suddenly, things got a lot more complicated. The fact that Crista is pregnant means that Jack must take care of it. It felt like the ground was moving beneath my feet as I was pondering where to begin. What would become of Jack and me? What about us and the child we have? What was going to happen from now on?
• Deep within I am confident in my ability to handle everything by myself. I was able to accomplish it in the past, and if it becomes necessary, I will be able to accomplish it once more. However, things were not the same as they were before in the way that they were today.
• Jack is really special to me, and I know he feels the same way about me. As a mother, I wasn't ready to let him go just yet, and after everything that had happened between us, I wasn't sure if I could give him to another woman myself.
