The night wrapped around us like a dark, velvety cloak, and for a moment, I could hardly breathe, unable to escape the magnetic pull between us. Every inch of my skin seemed to react to him, my pulse quickening, my body betraying me as his breath ghosted over my neck, sending tremors down my spine. His scent—a blend of musk and something sharp, almost intoxicating—filled my senses, clouding my thoughts.
