Chapter 19

• “I…i…i’m,” the right words disappear from my throat as my voice is replaced with fear.
• “I always knew you were up to something stupid. But…” With his faint words, the old man’s eyes suddenly shut and he falls down to the side of the bed in deep sleep.
• My lips parts as I let out a very deep breath of relief. That was very close to my life ending. But what should I do? What if he wakes up and finds out his necklace is missing? He knows I'm the only one in this room with him.
