Chapter 69

• Alec's POV
• I turned on my bed restless. It's been hours since I saw that picture with Ember but I've not been able to stop thinking about it. It brought back memories I'd rather keep buried. The picture brought back the nightmares I thought I've gotten rid of but turns out I never did. I just buried it so deep I won't have to ever think about it and have nightmares anymore.
• Unable to take it anymore, I sprang up from the bed, walking out of the room shirtless. The house was still dark as the sun was still rising. Moving with precision, I walked out of the house, gazing into the rising sun. Unable to help it, I shifted into my wolf, howling into the sky and sending the morning birds flying away in fright.
