• The door slammed shut behind the new boy before I could even recover from my initial shock.
• My heart thudded heavily in my chest from the shock of getting caught as I hurriedly buttoned my skirt around my waist.
• I opened the door again to call Nolen to come in but he had already disappeared. Not that I wasn’t embarrassed that he caught me and Rhys flagrant delicto but what’s done is done and there’s nothing we can do about it.
