Chapter 12

• ♧ Ryn’s pov ♧
• The pungent smell of burnt toast wafted through my nostrils causing me to wake up from my sleep. My drowsy eyes forced its way open and I let out a grumble of displeasure at being woken up by the suffocating smell of the toast.
• Then the deafening sound of the fire alarm had my heart wrenching as I quickly got off the bed in a hast. My feet moved in a quick pace as I rushed to the door. Fumbling with the lock I successfully opened it only to be greeted by a cloud of smoke. I let out a cough as my lungs burned.
