• I woke up with a start. A loud yawn escaped my mouth as I opened my eyes and stretched my arms. The rays of the morning sun seeped into the room through the curtains, bathing the room in a bright yellow light. I sat up, and that was when I noticed that Shadow wasn't on the bed with me. My heart skipped a beat as I wondered where she was, and I was about to start panicking when I looked around, and my eyes landed on her sitting on the chair in the corner of the room. Her attention was on the giant brown teddy bear she was holding so she didn't see me looking at her.
