• I stayed in my room for several hours. I couldn't tell what the time was. I had no idea if it was morning, afternoon, or night. I was so out of it, I didn't even bother to take off the dress I was wearing last night. I laid in bed, the blanket covering every part of my body, including my face. I felt numb, unable to tell how I was feeling. But one thing was certain, I had to find a way to escape this place because I knew Alessandro wouldn’t be getting any information out of me. My own father took the heirloom he asked me to steal for him, and he didn’t trust me enough to tell me where he was going. And it made me wonder if I would have actually disclosed his location to Alessandro if I had known.
