• Stepping into the suite, Colton Royal was greeted with the beeping sound of the monitor. He shut the door behind him as gently as he could. 
• Walking further into the room, he felt a pang in his chest the moment he sighted Mia. 
• Finally getting to her bedside, tears welled up in Colton's eyes when he took in Mia's appearance. She had a bandage around her forehead, another one by her left ankle, a bruise on her left cheek, and a few on her hands.
