Chapter 4 Will You Marry Me?

• 'And what could that be?' Alyssa asked eying him.
• Adrian stood up from his chair walking majestically towards Alyssa, every step he took forward she took backward till she could feel her back hitting the wall.
• Caging her to the wall with his hands, his broad hovering over her tiny figure, he whispered hotly in her eyes.
• 'Marry me' his voice sending cold shivers down Alyssa spine.
• Alyssa stood frozen on the spot, her brain trying to process what she just heard.
• 'I will not marry you' Alyssa spoke up with every bit of confidence in her.
• Adrian smiled sitting at the edge of the desk, he knew she will not give in easily and he was bent on making her succumb to his wish.
• 'It is an option; you either marry me or you stay jobless and broke' Adrian leaned closer whispering the last words to her.
• Alyssa took one last glance at him and walked out of his office.

• SOPHIE APARTMENT
• Alyssa barged inside Sophie apartment, kicking off her shoes angrily; Sophie rushed out of the kitchen surprised to see her best friend back so early.
• 'Were you fired again?' Sophie panicked the moment she saw Alyssa enter the house with fury.
• 'What does he take me for? I accept the fact that am frustrated but does he think am his toy' Alyssa soliloquize to herself angrily ignoring Sophie presence.
• 'Are you going to pretend like i don't exist? Sophie asked rolling her eyes.
• 'You won't believe what that rude brat said to me today' Alyssa sat down panting heavily.
• 'What did he say' Sophie sat down beside Alyssa giggling.
• 'He asked for a contract marriage' Alyssa rushed her words vibrating in anger.
• 'And what did you say?' Sophie ears peeked up eager to Alyssa response.
• 'I walked out of his office' Alyssa answered proudly flipping her.
• Sophie fell from the couch rolling on the floor, Alyssa frightened by her reaction ran to the kitchen to get a bowl of water. She poured it on Sophie who stood up immediately glaring at her.
• 'You rejected a life time opportunity to become rich?' Sophie made a face like she wanted to cry.
• 'I will rather stay broke than marry that rude brat' Alyssa said with a stern face and walked away to the room.

• 'What if she rejects the offer?' Adrian asked George pacing to and fro in his office.
• 'Then you marry Charlotte' Adrian said with so much sarcasm in her voice earning a glare from Adrian.
• 'I have an idea' George grinned mischievously.
• 'Why not use your influence to make her succumb to your wish?' George suggested earning a friendly smack on his head from Adrian.
• 'Ouch!!! Dude what was that for? George pouted childishly.
• 'For that brilliant idea' Adrian grinned on his chair while George messaged his head groaning.

• Alyssa stared blankly at the TV lost in her own world of thought; her phone vibrated jolting her back to life. She picked up the phone and threw it back on the couch sighing heavily; she was just been rejected for the job she applied for.
• His threatening words rang loudly in her ears as tears slipped out from her eyes, she wanted to prove that she was not toy to him but now it looks like he had the upper hand in the game.
• 'Alyssa are you okay?' Sophie, asked looking concerned.
• Alyssa shakes her head side ways shedding more tears.
• 'I have just been rejected for the i applied for' Alyssa answered blowing her nose.
• 'Alyssa don't you think you should consider Adrian request?' Sophie whispered to Alyssa patting her gently.
• 'No i will not marry him and i will not be weak in this game' Alyssa said sternly wiping her tears.
• Sophie shook her head, staring at her friend who looks pathetic and stood up from the couch heading to the bathroom.
• 'I need to pay that rude brat a visit' Alyssa muttered under her breath.

• 'Dude don't you think you're taking things too far?' George asked already feeling pity for the innocent girl.
• 'I feel like she is the perfect person for my plan and am ready to do anything to make her succumb to my wish' Adrian boosted and immediately the door was barged open.
• Fear written all over George face as he stared at the lady whose body was vibrating in anger.
• 'I knew you will come' Adrian smirked staring at Alyssa whose face spoke anger.
• 'Do you think frustrating me will make accept your request' Alyssa asked yelling at Adrian who looked less bothered.
• 'Remember you have 9 more days to accept my request' Adrian winked at her.
• 'I will not marry you' Adrian snapped at him gritting her teeth in anger.
• 'Then get ready to stay broke and jobless all your life' Adrian stared calmly at Alyssa who returned it with an hateful glare.
• She stomped out of his office slamming the door hard making George jump in fear.
• 'Coward' Adrian muttered laughing at George.
• 'What next?' George whispered to Adrian fearfully.
• 'My final plan to make her bow to my request' Adrian boosted calmly.

• 'Arghhhhhhhhhh!!! I hate that brat' Alyssa screamed stomping her feet hard on the floor.
• Sophie, continue staring speechless at Alyssa till she heard her phone ring, she excused herself and released a loud scream startling Alyssa who rushed to her.
• 'Are you okay, Sophie?' Alyssa asked in a alarming tone.
• 'No i need to get to my shop immediately' Sophie picked her bag and rushed out of the house, Alyssa followed her immediately.

• 45 MINUTES LATER

• Sophie rushed out of the taxi forgetting to pay the cab man.
• 'Hey!! My money' the taxi driver yelled angrily at Sophie who was running inside her shop.
• 'Here have this' Alyssa stretched some amount of money at the taxi driver who grabbed it muttering some words to himself.
• Alyssa entered the tea shop and saw Sophie talking with some men who looked like engineers.
• 'What is the matter?' Alyssa questioned the men.
• 'This land has been bought and the owner demand immediate demolition' One of them answered Alyssa.
• 'This was Sophia only means of live hood, if taken away from her she will die' Alyssa thought within praying for a miracle.
• 'Can't we speak with the new owner?" Sophia asked in a down casted voice.
• 'Why do you want to speak to me?' They heard a deep masculine voice and Alyssa could swear that it belongs to Adrian.
• 'I don't negotiate so forget about trying to negotiate with me' Adrian walked majestically towards them with his hands in his suit trouser.
• 'Really? Why are you attacking my friends? The battle is between the both of us' Alyssa said pissed off by his rude tricks.
• 'You either consider my request or you lose everything' Adrian smirked.
• 'I will not marry you' Alyssa yelled back at him.
• 'Then watch this shop go down in ruins' Adrian whispered to Alyssa.
• 'Evacuate everybody and demolish the shop immediately' Adrian instructed the men and began walking out of the tea shop.
• Alyssa glanced at her friend who was shedding tears, she could not bear to see her in tears.
• 'I will marry you' Alyssa said making Adrian pause in his tracks with a smirk of victory on his face.
