• Ivy had run away from home again. We were still riding the highs of our honeymoon, and I had been laying it on thick. I didn’t give her any breathing space, so when I got back home to find out she had run off to her apartment, I wasn’t surprised. The apartment was her getaway, her place to hide from me. But I’d be darned if I let her out of my sight for even a moment, so I drove down to her apartment as fast as I could.
