• Leka pov,
• Some area of the our house roof started to leak due to heavy rain.. I placed the pots on the wet spots of the floor where the raindrops are leaking.. After placing the pots, I went and sit on the bed.. I looked the burning candle, it is the only source of light in our house now.. There is no electricity today because of rain..
• One year passed since I was released from prison.. Will he come home today or will stay in his office quarters ??.. I miss him.. It has been five days since he came home.. Nowadays he does not come home properly and only comes one day a week.. I know that he working so hard for us without even minding his health.. He came home daily till he worked under Ramakrishnan sir.. But, unexpectedly ramakrishnan sir became ill.. As the result of ramakrishnan sir sudden detrimental of health, his son had to take all the responsibilities of company.. After his son took over the company, hari work load increased so he could not able come home regularly...
• I thought many times that I could go to his office to see him and at the same time I don't want to make him feel ashame in front of his co-workers.. I knew his co-workers would insult him after knowing that I was his wife.. I should never be a reason for him to be ashamed.. So I leaved the idea to go his office.. I heard a ringtone sound on my mobile phone which hari gifted me for my birthday.. I answered the phone with a smile while remembering the memories of things happened at my birthday..
• "Hello hari.."
• " Leka.. How many times have I told you to not call me at office time ??.." he shouted from other side of phone..
• " Please don't get angry hari.. I just called to know if you were coming home or not.. Today I cooked your favourite chicken gravy with chappathi.. I am..."
• I stopped my words midway after hearing his angry voice,
• "LEKA.. Just shut up your gibberish talks.. Don't call me again"
• I looked at the mobile with tears.. Its a basic set mobile.. After giving this old fashioned mobile, he apologized many times that he could not buy me a new model mobile with his salary.. He was always like this.. At first, he would get angry and scold me badly, then he would apologize to me a thousand times for that.. I laid on the bed and fell on asleep with all the memories of the past year..
• The loud noise of the falling plate made me wake up from my beauty sleep.. Damn cat.. I going to kill you today.. I got out from the bed and went to the kitchen..
• " Bloody cat.. Really today you are going to die in hands" I shouted after seeing messy kitchen..
• This damn cat has doubled my works today.. God.. When will I go to work after cleaning all this ??.. After scolding that damn cat some more time, I cleaned the kitchen and got ready to go work..
• I have been working in the library as a cleaner for the past 11 months.. No one is ready to give me job based on my education because of my disability.. At the same time, hari also don't had money to run the house after sending all his salary to his family.. After seeing his condition, I decided to go any kind of work.. The main reason I couldn’t get a good job was my trembling hand.. After facing many rejection, atlast I got cleaner job in library.. My job is to keep the floor and books from dust free.. Its funny right ??.. The woman who once commanded everyone around her is now doing her job at the behest of others.. I heard librarian madam angry voice,
• "Ya cleaner.. Am I paying you for daydream without doing any work ??.."
• "Sorry madam" I replied her and moop the floor with my right hand..
• I called her when she was about to leave the place after telling me to clean the floor neatly..
• "Madam.. Will you give me 2 hours permission to go hospital ??"
• "Okay.. After cleaning this floor, you can go.. If you have not arrived within two hours, I will consider it as whole day leave.." she told me and left to her cabin..
• I have been receiving treatment for the last two months to get pregnant without informing hari.. Everytime we made love, he would always ask me when I would get pregnant.. I know he love babies, the only thing he constantly asking me is baby, so I started getting treatment to fulfill his wish..
• I went to hospital after cleaning the floor.. Shortly after going to the hospital, the doctor called me to her cabin.. I sat in the chair as doctor stated after entering into the doctor’s cabin.. She asked me in clear tone,
• "Mrs.Leka Hari right ??"
• I nodded.. After giving me one short look, she opened my report file and looked it and told me,
• "Mrs.Leka Hari.. Now you don't have any problem to conceive.. If you still don't get pregnant after this then we need to do some tests for your husband.."
• How could hari have problem ??.. God.. I only know how strong he is in bed.. A lot of times I lost consciousness due to his rudeness in the bed.. He behaves completely differently whenever we do it and also he would insults me by saying how ugly I am.. He has not allowed me to hug him because of my trembling hand yet.. Even though he behave like this while we are doing it, after that he would apologies for his rude behaviour.. I could not hate him no matter what he did because I love him unconditionally.. Not everyone is perfect.. Everyone have some flaws, some of them hide it deeply within them and some of the them show it to their loved ones.. My hari openly showing his flaws to me.. Anyway I love his flaws too..
• I left the hospital after asking the doctor if I should continue taking the medication.. I have to walk a little distance from the hospital to go back to library again.. Therefore, I start to walk.. As I was walking, I heard the ringtone sound of my mobile.. I took my mobile out of my purse and look at the phone display, the call coming in from a new number.. I quickly attend the call and asked,
• "Hello.. Who is this??"
• "Hello madam.. I am speaking from QS Hotel in chennai.. Can I speak with Mrs.Leka Hari..??" I heard a girl voice from other side of phone..
• "Okay.. I am Mrs.Leka Hari.." I replied her..
• "Madam.. Your husband came our hotel to attend a business meeting but unfortunately he fell down from the stair.. We tried to take him hosiptal but he is not ready to cooperate with us.. He gave your number and request us to call you here.. Please madam come soon.."
