Chapter 1 Transmigration, White Striped Tiger

  • Under the shadow of a big tree, three people could be seen having a heated discussion. They all sat opposite to each other in the blanket laid on the ground.
  • “Dei Jun! You said you want to be a City lord in our Fushan province? Aren't you dreaming big? Haha.” A muscular boy with an average look spoke sarcastically.
  • “Tang San! Don't be like that. Why don't you also dream big like our little Dei Jun here?” Liu Shenyue rebutted, she was 18 years old and a kind hearted girl. Her looks might not stand out but still, her kind heart hooked the hearts of many male students in her class.
  • “My dream? It's more awesome than being a puny city lord. I dream of being the leader of the biggest gang in our province.” Tang San replied smugly, he believed that it was the most noble dream above all.
  • After a while, he cast his gaze on the young man standing in the distance, watching the horizon. In their group, he was the only person that's silent.
  • Just calmly staring into the distance with his stark solemn eyes. “Hey Feng Shaotian, what are you thinking? Don't you want to share your dream with us?"
  • “No.” Feng Shaotian replied calmly, not even bothering to turn around.
  • “That's not fair, you should open up to us and share your thoughts too. My dream is to become a nurse, Dei Jun wants to be a city lord while Tang San dreams to be a gang leader. You should share yours too.” Liu Shenyue protested a bit madly.
  • “That's right! Feng Shaotian, are you even taking us as friends?” Even the usually timid Dei Jun seconded.
  • Without any other choice, Feng Shaotian could only let out a sigh and stated. "I don't really have high ambition in life, I just want to live peacefully in this peaceful world.”
  • “We're not in a world where war is frequent and killing is commonplace anyway.” He then tilted his head, looked straight at everyone , then said, “But, if you really want to know my dream. It is…”
  • The trio returned the gaze with their heart beating fast. All excited and eager to hear what this usually silent person's dream was.
  • “... to become a farmer.”
  • “What?!” The trio subconsciously blurted out in puzzlement. Why would anyone want to become a low class farmer? That's a cheap dream.
  • “Let's meet here again tomorrow.” Feng Shaotian knew what they were thinking and decided to bid farewell.
  • Even though everyone considered it as a low class profession, in his eyes it was the best of the best. No one would be alive today if not for the food made by farmers.
  • ***
  • Feng Shaotian was 19 years old this year. His mother passed away after giving birth to him, while his father was killed by a terrorist attack.
  • This was what his grandparents told him before they died of old age. His life was so miserable that he want to commit suicide.
  • But every time he tries to kill himself, his pet dog would always try to save him. For this reason, he was forced to live in this forsaken world for his dog's sake.
  • An hour later, Feng Shaotian finally arrived near his house. His mood couldn't help but turn sour seeing the dilapidated building left behind by his parents.
  • Opening the door, he saw Ding Bang sleeping on the floor. Looking at him sleeping so peacefully made Feng Shaotian's sour mood ease somehow.
  • He then took the leftover food from the table, reheated it before eating.
  • Afterwards, he woke Ding Bang up and fed him some dog food. After doing some house chores, he went to his room and collapsed on his bed fully worn out.
  • ‘Hah… why is life full of suffering? I just want to be happy and live peacefully. I don't even have money to pay for my tuition fee this year.’
  • ‘Maybe it's time for me to kill myself. Ding Bang, I'm sorry but I can't accompany you any longer.’ Feng Shaotian thought depressed as his eyelids slowly closed.
  • At this time, a massive formation suddenly appeared under him, shining brilliantly. Several colors kept on intertwining from violet, red, gray, white, black and green.
  • Zzzhhzz~
  • Outside his room, Ding Bang who's napping comfortably has his eyes open wide. Baring his teeth and letting out a few roar, as if sensing something unnatural in his owner's room.
  • Without hesitation, he ran inside and bit Feng Shaotian's clothes.
  • Whoosh~
  • But before Ding Bang could bring him out of the room, the magic formation suddenly released a blinding light.
  • A few minutes later, the lights finally started to dissipate. There's no damage in the place or whatnot, the only problem left was that.
  • Feng Shaotian and Ding Bang's figure could no longer be found.
  • ***
  • Chirp~ chirp~
  • Bird's gentle singing could be heard from Feng Shaotian's surroundings and its soothing melody made his whole body relaxed.
  • “Roooaaarrrrr!”
  • Suddenly, a ferocious roar woke him awake from his relaxing sleep. His body became tense as he felt scared, cold sweat even started forming on his forehead.
  • ‘It must be a dream, it must be a dream. Calm down, calm down.’ Feng Shaotian started brainwashing himself to calm down.
  • He then slowly opened his eyes but what appeared in front of him struck him stunned. It was not his room in front of him, but a forest lush with vegetation and vitality.
  • “What on earth is happening?!” Feng Shaotian shouted in shock. ‘Wasn't I sleeping in my bed seconds ago?’
  • “Oh right, right. It's just a dream… haha yeah... just a dream.” He pinched his face so hard that it turned red but nothing changed.
  • “Ouch! No, this can't be. It's not a dream but reality? Then, t-the roar just now?"
  • Cautiously turning around, Feng Shaotian saw a massive White Striped Tiger. Its fangs were sharp like a knife, flickering with cold light giving goosebumps to his well being.
  • ‘Is White Striped Tiger normally this big?’ Feng Shaotian thought, doubtful with what he was seeing.
  • Beads of cold sweat keep on pouring down like flowing water from his face. Making his clothes soaked wet, so terrified to move even a little bit.
  • Before his eyes, the White Striped Tiger walked step by step towards him. His body unconsciously took a step back while trembling in fear.
  • “Why is it like this? I don't want to die, no I-I…”
  • Just as Feng Shaotian was conflicted on what to do, a gentle voice of a girl suddenly echoed in his ears.
  • “Hey? Can you hear me? Why aren't you answering?”
  • Turning around, he saw an alluring girl that wore an Artistic Red Robe with S rank marking. Her hair was jet black, flowing like water matching her well curvature body.
  • Looking at her brilliant smile somehow washed away his fear.
  • ‘Wait… who is she? I didn't even notice her appear behind me.’ He thought surprised as this girl suddenly appeared next to him.
  • However, he remembered that there was a White Striped Tiger threatening to kill him. He really wanted to run away, but he didn't want to leave this fragile and beautiful looking girl alone.
  • Feng Shaotian shivered just thinking about her being swatted by that huge beast.
  • “Whoever you are, run now. I'll stall for some time for you to flee as far as you can.” He determinedly said, trying to overcome his fear.
  • “What are you talking about?” The girl chuckled lightly thinking that something's wrong with his head.
  • “Why aren't you running?! I'm trying to stall you time to flee! Are you courting death waiting for that White Striped Tiger to come near us?!” Feng Shaotian growled angrily when he saw the girl only staring at him like an idiot.
  • ‘I didn't think someone who doesn't have any strength to save his own life would be willing enough to sacrifice himself just to save a stranger like me.’ The girl thought, a mysterious smile forming on her face.
  • “Don't worry, it's my pet. No need to be that anxious.” She said while waving her hand.
  • “What no need to be anxious? You see tha—what? What did you say again?!” Feng Shaotian asked with eyes wide open. ‘How can such a big and ferocious looking beast be a pet?’
  • “As you can see, that White Striped Tiger is my pet Ding Xiang.” She replied then turned to Ding Bang sleeping comfortably on the ground.
  • “You also have a pet yourself, right?”
  • “Huh? Uh. Yeah… I have…” Feng Shaotian awkwardly replied and thought. ‘But compared to yours, mine looked like a baby.’
  • ‘Hmm… now that I think about it. How come he even followed me out in the wilderness? If I guess correctly, I was sleeping in my bed at that time when somehow I felt like I was floating in space… then…’
  • “Hey! What are you spacing out for?”
  • The girl asked in annoyance seeing his dazed state.
