• My eyes met the white and well-crafted ceiling of my vast bedroom. It was silent all around me, not the soft music that played in the private room at Cloud Restaurant. And not Mr. Shaw’s voice that hummed all through the room.
• A gasp escaped my lips as I shot up from the bed, recalling my meeting with him. But then a piercing headache quickly settled in, one that made me groan and bend over in bed. A sinking feeling took over. I was instantly searching and probing deep into my memories.
