Chapter 91 Breaking Point

• "You may come in and spend a few minutes with him before we commence," the doctor said to them. He had spent almost an hour checking Landon's vitals and God-knows-what in there.
• "Thank you, doctor," Belle said as she and Martha walked into the waiting room where Landon was placed in the meantime. They knew why the doctor was doing this. If Landon didn't make it, then they would have at least had time with him.
• They spent hours making small talk and laughing unnecessarily hard at jokes that weren't actually funny. They did anything they could to not talk about the impending surgery and the stakes of Landon making it or not.
