Chapter 187 The Culprits

  • As we neared the scene of the fire, the smell of sulfur and charred wood grew stronger. Mixed with the humid air, every breath we drew into our lungs was agonizing. We had to cover our noses and mouths with our clothes and hold our breaths as much as we could while moving forward.
