Chapter 9 Only His!

  • Author's POV
  • "Julie is still with them."
  • Arabella informed Matilda worriedly.
  • Matilda shook her head while looking at her in pity.
  • "Arabella, Honey you are so naive... Julie escaped from there a long time back. How do you think that we found out that you are here, she informed everyone... Julie is a troublesome child, I shouldn't have let you stay with her. It almost cost you your life."
  • "But I want out with her willingly. It's my fault too."
  • She confessed sadly.
  • "I am sorry. I troubled you a lot."
  • "It's not your fault. Julie is responsible for this bad influence. She knew that it wasn't safe."
  • She assured her.
  • "It's okay, don't worry... We are safe now. Did they hurt you?"
  • Arabella shook her head.
  • "No! They didn't."
  • "Thank God!"
  • She breathed out in relief and took her to the orphanage.
  • "Arabella, oh my god... I am so sorry."
  • Julie ran towards her and hugged her tightly.
  • "I am so sorry for getting you in trouble..."
  • She cried.
  • "Are you okay?"
  • She nodded still in shock.
  • "I am fine... I need to go to my room."
  • She mumbled.
  • She walked away and Matilda scolded her.
  • "You should really watch your actions, Julie. You both would have died... Thankfully they let her go, do you realise what would have happened if they would have hurt her. Arabella is not like you, she is a timid and introverted kid with a traumatic past and selective mutism. She is dealing with her own problems, it's better if you don't trouble her."
  • Julie wiped her tears.
  • "I am sorry, Matilda..."
  • Matilda was about to leave but Julie hugged her.
  • "Thank you so much for bringing her back, I would have never forgive myself if she wouldn't have come back safely."
  • Matilda patted her head.
  • "Forget about it now. You all are my children... But you are grounded for a week... Best of luck with that."
  • Arabella laid on her bed and closed her eyes, just to see Oliver's blue dark eyes. The way he treated her wounds, called her nicknames and took a bullet for her, it was something new. Her chest was filled with new feelings.
  • Meanwhile Noah was treating Oliver's wound.
  • "I thought you had no intentions of letting her go..."
  • He stitched the wound.
  • "She is underage..."
  • He closed his eyes and her innocent blue eyes blinked in front of him.
  • "Hmm!"
  • Noah nodded in understanding.
  • "So what's next?"
  • "Keeping her away until she is eighteen."
  • He smirked.
  • Noah shook his head in disbelief.
  • "And here I thought that you gave up. I should have known better."
  • "How can I give up? She has the most beautiful name."
  • He smiled.
  • Noah thought for a second.
  • "Let me guess? Rose?"
  • He chuckled knowing he thinks that his mother's name is the most beautiful in the world.
  • Oliver shook his head.
  • "No!"
  • Noah thought about it again.
  • "Ohh, right! Arabella!"
  • Oliver smiled when he heard the name.
  • "Arabella, beautiful lion. But she looks like an innocent dove."
  • "Rose will love her, I am sure!"
  • Noah teased.
  • "Don't tell anyone about it. Mom won't like that she is underage... And please help me to stay away from Arabella until she is eighteen. No one needs to know that I am fascinated by her."
  • He ordered.
  • "Let's finish the deal first."
  • "Leave it to me."
  • Noah assured.
  • Oliver's phone rang and he saw Damian's name.
  • "You told him?"
  • He frowned at Noah.
  • Noah quickly shook his head.
  • "I am not the only one here. He has other loyal guards."
  • Oliver groaned and answered the call.
  • "Dad!"
  • "Is it serious?"
  • Damian questioned.
  • "No! I am fine."
  • Oliver knows that it's not going to end well. Damian had clearly warned him that if something goes wrong then he has to work with Arthur.
  • "Good, come back!"
  • He ordered.
  • "But Dad, I am working on it."
  • Oliver was not happy with the decision.
  • "Oliver, I can't risk my son's life for any deal. No matter how big the deal is. Leonardo has eyes on this deal, and I should have known that he would try something... Come back get better and then go... Nothing is more important than you."
  • Damian as a father always keeps his children on top of anything.
  • "I am not giving up on this deal."
  • Oliver replied. This is the last chance for him to prove himself and Arthur.
  • "I know, I am not telling you to give up. Come here, get better and then go back... Arthur will handle it for you until you get well."
  • He ordered.
  • "You don't want to work together and that's fine. We didn't talk about working alternatively."
  • Oliver wasn't ready to go back but he had no option.
  • "Okay!"
  • They got ready to leave. He was not prepared for this, leaving the town without his kitten was hard but he can't do anything at the moment except letting her grow into a woman. He felt relieved that he didn't do anything with her or else he would have regretted it.
  • He stopped his car in front of an orphanage and looked at the building, hoping to get a glimpse of her. Maybe he could see her for the last time until he would come back and he finally saw her coming to the window. She was still in the jacket which he gave her. It was dark and the moonlight was falling directly on her face, brightening her even more.
  • Arabella looked at the black SUV on the street and frowned at it, not knowing that Oliver is admiring her from the tinted window. She sat by the window as wind caressed her skin. She should be feeling traumatized for whatever happened with her but for some reason she wasn't feeling harassed. Seems like her kidnapper wasn't that bad.
  • She smiled softly while looking at the moon, it was feeling like a freedom.
  • "She is mine, only mine."
  • Oliver didn't leave until she closed the window and went back to her bed.
  • "And no one can take her away from me now."
  • He was passionate about whatever he said.
  • "Arthur is calling"
  • Noah declared and Oliver looked at the screen.
