Chapter 4 Sneak In!
- Author's POV
- "What is wonderwoods again?"
- Oliver asked as they were almost close to the town.
- "Wonderwoods!"
- His bodyguard and friend, Noah said while changing the route.
- "A small town near the forest, it's beautiful and peaceful. It's an old town and very local, the legal system here is very poor which helps us to smuggle drugs into the city. We have three small warehouses here, now we just have to deal with Mexicans and get them to use the warehouse. That's the deal. They don't have any base here so we are getting a good amount from them."
- "So everyone knows Knights there?"
- Oliver asked while looking out of the window. The streets had beautiful bushes and trees.
- "Maybe but authorities definitely know you..."
- He assured.
- "Good, at least one thing is sorted."
- He nodded with acknowledgement.
- "The samples are under the swing, Jack informed. And please I don't want maids there."
- He doesn't like when his personal life is watched by maids.
- Meanwhile girls were roaming around the town under the moonlight.
- "This is the school which I don't like at all."
- Julie had shown Arabella almost the whole town.
- Arabella liked the tour. The town was old and had many unique architectural attractions. It was feeling like a vacation.
- "Now I'll show you the most beautiful house of the town..."
- Julie excitedly dragged her with her.
- "You are going to freak out, I swear!"
- Arabella looked around confused when they crossed streets and walked on the path which was leaving all houses behind. It was dark and isolated.
- "Where are we going?"
- She asked while trying to remove her hold.
- "This house is the most beautiful... A little away from other houses but it's worth it. I think no one stays there because it's always locked."
- Julie stopped in front of the wide gate after walking for a good time.
- "Fuck, my legs hurt whenever I come to see this house."
- Arabella stopped and looked at the house. It was a two story house made with woods and was beautiful like it has come out of the forest fairytale. The walls were covered in greenery and the garden was also well maintained.
- It was not big and was looking cosy.
- "This is so green and I always fall in love with this house. I want to make a house like this for myself someday."
- Julie was in awe.
- "Who's house is this?"
- Arabella was also admiring it.
- "Unfortunately this belongs to some rich family. Knights I think... They don't live in the town but I have heard that they are involved in illegal business. There are some warehouses in the forest and they operate their dirty work from there."
- Julie informed.
- "Then what are we doing here? Let's go. I don't think it's safe for us."
- Arabella frowned. She wasn't feeling good after whatever she heard from Julie.
- "Let's go!"
- "Wait!"
- Julie looked at the swing in awe.
- "Look how beautiful it's looking. It's so green. I want to sit on it. I always wanted to do it."
- "I don't think it's a good idea. The gate is locked."
- Arabella tried to change her mind.
- "Come on, girl. We won't get a good chance like this again... There is no guard. We will just sit on it and will come back. Let's go!"
- Julie climbed on the metal gate and jumped inside.
- "Come!"
- She gestured for Arabella.
- Arabella looked around and found herself standing alone on the other side. She hesitated but climbed on the gate and jumped inside. Her already bruised feet got hurt and she hissed.
- "God, you are so clumsy!"
- Julie complained thinking she couldn't handle the jump but in reality her legs were hurt after running barefoot on the streets when she was running away from her uncle.
- "Oh my god, this is so exciting."
- Julie jumped on the swing and squealed in happiness."
- Arabella looked around worried while Julie was enjoying. For some reason she wasn't getting a good feeling about the situation. They were in a bad people's house without permission that too in the middle of the night.
- "Julie, it's enough now. Let's go back..."
- She requested.
- "Few minutes more... Yahoo! It's so exciting."
- She took a big swing while Arabella was looking around worriedly, scared that someone would catch them.
- "You are such a scary cat"
- Julie stopped the swing and felt the jerk. The lower side of the swing fell open and pouches of white powder dropped on the grass.
- "Shit! Did I break it?"
- Julie quickly got up and gasped when she saw what she did.
- "Oh my god!"
- She looked at Arabella and she was equally shocked.
- "What is this?"
- Arabella asked.
- "Did we really break it? I told you to leave here."
- She started gathering pouches.
- "What is this powder? Let's just fix this and get out of here."
- She tried to fix the swing and stuff the pouches back into it.
- "We don't even have the money to compensate for this."
- Julie was in shock.
- "Arabella, do you even know what this powder is?"
- Arabella looked at her madly. She was annoyed by Julie's careless behaviour.
- "How does it matter? It's not ours and we broke it."
- She almost yelled at her and again started fixing it.
- Julie stood behind her and mumbled.
- "It's drugs! It means Knights are really mafias. It's not a rumour."
- "What?"
- Arabella's jaw dropped and fear took over her face.
- "Oh no! How do I fix it?"
- "Do you know how much money we will get if we sell these drugs? We will be rich and then we don't have to live in an orphanage."
- Julie suggested greedily.
- Arabella looked at her in disbelief.
- "Can you help me to fix this instead of dreaming about stealing it. We are in a problem."
- She almost yelled at her.
- "Think about it, Arabella... It's probably worth a million."
- Julie mumbled in daze.
- Arabella looked at her annoyed and started fixing the swing cabinet again. It was made very mindfully but the heaviness of pouches were making it difficult to lock the base.
- "No, maybe two million."
- Julie grinned greedily and Arabella ignored her.
- "A little close... Five million dollars!"
- They heard the dark voice behind them.
- Arabella stiffened when she heard the evil, mocking voice. She flinched and started shaking when she heard Julie's scream behind her. She was not brave enough to turn around and watch it. She had a feeling that it was going to happen.
- Her trembling
- hands dropped the pouches and slowly turned around while looking up, just to meet the deep blue eyes which were looking furious.
