Chapter 3

  • My back was shoved roughly to a wall and I groaned in pain.
  • I looked up to see his hazel eyes staring down at mine. He moved his face closer to mine while I moved back in fear.
  • "Going somewhere princess??" He asked with a wide grin on his face.
  • I gasped in shock. God no!! Is this how I'll finally die??
  • I tried to run away but he held me more tighter than before. His grip hurt like hell.
  • "No tell me. What are you doing in a deserted alley??" He asked, attempting to move a strand of hair from my face but I moved away in fear.
  • "Please don't do anything to me. I swear I won't tell anyone what happened today." I pleaded in fear while rubbing my palms together.
  • "Who said anything about hurting you??" I looked up to stare at him in confusion.
  • "You'll let me go??" I asked hopefully.
  • "I never said I'll let you go. You just witnessed something you should have never seen. Why would I let you go scot free??" He asked giving me an 'are you that dense?' look.
  • "I only promised not to hurt you. If only you behave." He said.
  • I took in a deep breath. He promised not to hurt me. I just need to obey him, that way, I'll be safe. What could go wrong??
  • "Everything could go wrong. He's a goddamn killer. He has a friggin' gun!!" My inner woman screamed at me.
  • Right! I almost forgot about his pistol. I looked down shakily and saw him still holding onto it.
  • He traced my gaze with his eyes and chuckled when he saw what I was looking at. He pinched my chin and lifted it up so our eyes could meet.
  • "I wouldn't have to use this of you behave." He said while pressing the side of the pistol on my face.
  • I took in a shaky breath. I just have to make him lose the gun. That way, I can easily escape.
  • "Okay. I'll be calm." I mannaged to croak out.
  • "Good girl. Now follow me." He said and pushed me foward.
  • I turned to stare at him in confusion.
  • "I need you to walk in front of me so you won't easily escape." He said like it's the most obvious thing right now.
  • "Okay. Where are we going?" I asked.
  • "Where you met me." He said and motioned with his armed hand for me to start walking.
  • I took in a deep breath and started walking slowly.
  • "Faster!!" I jumped in fear when I heard his husky voice and started walking faster.
  • "Lord, if I get through this, I promise never to pass through an alley anymore." I prayed within myself.
  • It wasn't long before we got to the crime scene. Yeah, I called it a crime scene because the highest of all crimes was committed right here.
  • I almost puked when I saw the dead guy's body. Blood was still seeping from his forehead, where he was shot. I felt really sorry for him. He didn't deserve this.
  • "Don't try anything stupid." The interviewer said and crouched close to his body.
  • He started searching the dead guy's body again for whatsoever. When he didn't find anything, he stood up angrily. I just watched in fear.
  • "What a waste of my precious time." He muttered and brought out his phone. He dailed a number and started to talk to someone at the end of the line.
  • I stood in uncertainty as he backed me and kept speaking to someone on the phone. He was still holding onto his gun.
  • It would be better to attack now that he isn't watching. This is my chance. I tiptoed and picked up a rod that was close to me.
  • I did it really quitely that he didn't notice. Just then, I started having second thoughts. What if he ends up dead??
  • "This is the right thing to do. If I don't do it, he'll just kill you. Besides, he's a murderer who's holding you hostsge." My inner woman warned.
  • Yes, she's right. No one will bkame me if something happens to him. It's only self defense.
  • Just when if wanted to knock him out, he turned towards me.
  • "What do you think... arghhh!!" He screamed in pain when I suddenly used the pole to hit his armed hand making the gun fall off.
  • Luckily, it fell right in front of me. I was quick enough to pick it up and pointed it at him.
  • "Don't come close to me!!" I said pointing the pistol at him.
  • "What are you going to do? Shoot me?" He asked taking slow steps towards me making me move back.
  • "I said you shouldn't come closer!!" I screamed in fear.
  • "Do you even know how to use a gun?" He taunted.
  • I cocked the gun and shot a trash can that was beside him before aiming back at him.
  • "Try me!!" I muttered. That made him stop coming closer. Thankfully.
  • I took slow steps backwards and picked up the grocery bags I left before. I continued walking backwards so I would know if he's following me.
  • When I was finally out of the alley, I used my my clothes to ckean my finger print off the gun before throwing it into a trashcan.
  • After that, I ran home without looking back nor stopping to take a breather. I'll never oass through an alley anymore.
  • *************************
  • Damian watched in fascination as she left in fear. He held his injured hand in pain. She really has some guts and force. She really hit him hard.
  • After waiting for a few minutes, five hefty men dressed in suits rushed towards him.
  • "Boss!! Are you alright?" One of them named Grey asked in worry.
  • "Hmm." He grunted in reply.
  • "What happened?" Grey asked again eyeing the dead body on the floor in disgust.
  • "I need you to do something for me." Damian said ignoring Grey's question.
  • "First, I need you to dispose of the body and find out every sing detail about him." Damian ordered.
  • "Okay sir."
  • "Also, I need you to find someone for me." Damian said.
  • "Who's it sir??" Grey asked.
  • "Her name is Selina Cortez. Find her and bring her to me alive and unscathed."
  • "Yes sir." Grey bowed respectfully before turning to face the other men in suits.
  • "Selina, let's see how you'll escape from me now." Damian muttered with a smirk on his lips.
