• The first challenge began with the ground beneath Seraphina shifting. The clearing disappeared, replaced by a vision of a burning village. The air was thick with smoke, and the screams of terrified villagers filled her ears.
• A group of soldiers, their armor bearing Evelyn’s sigil, were rounding up the villagers and setting fire to their homes. Seraphina saw a mother clutching her child, her face a mask of fear, as a soldier raised his sword.
• “Save them,” the guardian’s voice echoed in her mind.
