Chapter 32

• Clara and Ava worked into the investigation tirelessly, but it felt as though their efforts were not yielding any result. Even though Clara couldn't go out anymore, she made it a point to always stay in touch with Mr. Clinton over the phone, and he was also assisting them in searching for any evidence they could find within the company.
• Clara woke up that morning feeling sick and nauseated. She looked over at Dylan, who was seated and focused on his laptop, unsure of how to tell him she wasn't feeling well.
• She wanted to get up, eat something, and take the antiemetic medication prescribed to her during her last antenatal visit after she had complained of nausea and vomiting. But, as she tried to get up, she suddenly began to vomit unintentionally right in the bedroom.
