• Aiden's visit and his threat the other day had left me drained. I wasn't able to focus at work since then, and after what happened with Liam this morning, it became worse. I gave up and left early, needing space to think.
• As soon as i stepped into the house, I dropped my purse on the kitchen counter and made my way to the liquor cabinet to grab a bottle of whisky. I wasn't a fan of alcohol, but tonight, I needed it. Badly.
