Chapter 134 Blood Oath
- The late afternoon light softly softened the sharp edges of a day that had been much too long as it poured warm, golden streams into the Levi estate. Laughing emanated from somewhere close to the sunroom, little, brilliant sounds not fit for a house still waking from the previous evening.
- Her bare arms revealed in a loose black singlet that clung to her form as Dysis sat cross-legged on the thick Persian rug, her denim shorts hem caressing the tops of her thighs. At the back of her neck, her hair was knotted haphazardly, strands breaking free with every light-hearted tug from Brayden.
- The small child laughed as he stacked plush animals around her, his blond hair a ruffled halo in the last of the sunlight. His quick, enthusiastic hands arranged a "castle" of lions, bears, and tigers around his "queen." His hands were pudgy.
