• The air in the training room was thick with the smell of damp earth and the sound of footsteps echoing off the walls as Maggie and I stretched, preparing for the day’s training. Ashton, standing a few paces away, was pacing, clearly irritated. It wasn’t exactly a secret that he wasn’t the biggest fan of Alice's rigorous methods.
