Chapter 7 Cheated

  • Third Person's POV
  • Jefferson rushed to the hospital thinking Wendy was in a critical condition. He started to blame himself for what she did and he thought he would not be able to forgive himself if something happened to her.
  • He was on his way to the nurse's station when he looked around and saw Wendy's figure not too far from the staircase. He was thinking about what she was doing there when the nurse who called him told him that she had overdosed.
  • He walked slowly because he noticed that she was talking on her phone as she walked down the stairs. "I called him and he answered, so there's no way that he and whoever that woman was, were busy on their honeymoon." She said, "I'm sure that this is going to work, it better be. I didn't want to lose him either. Can't you imagine, all the things that I got used to will be gone forever? No way, I ain't gonna let that happen, so I am going to try to separate those two and be with Jefferson when he needs a companion." She added, which made Jefferson clench his fist.
  • "Of course, he bought me everything I wanted. I was thankful that the incident when someone got the clothes that I really like was taken away by someone else because he was late, never happened anymore. I was so pissed at him and you never know how much control I had not to yell at him. If he had no money, I would have broken up with him a long time ago or never given him a chance to be my second boyfriend. You know that I love you so much," Wendy said.
  • Jefferson was furious. He never thought that he, being the billionaire he was and smart and respected in the business world, was being cheated by a woman ever since they had a relationship. He started to walk away as what he heard was enough to forget about her and the guilt he felt towards her. He stayed in the car for a moment and went back to the emergency room and pretended that he had just arrived and been looking for Wendy.
  • "Babe," Wendy said as soon as she saw him. She looked pale and Jefferson thought that she was really a good actress and pretended that he didn't hear everything that she said.
  • "Stop calling me that, I am already married and I came here only to tell you that and don't call me ever again. I didn't want to appear like I was cheating on my wife", he told her, and Wendy was shocked to hear it.
  • "I almost died because of you and you don't care about that? Have I no value at you?" she asked and sounded aggrieved.
  • "You know that I gave you everything I could during our relationship. But now that I have my wife, I decided to devote myself to her," he said, and Wendy was stunned. She never thought that Jefferson would tell that to her. She got used to him being devoted to her and her alone. She never imagined him liking someone other than her.
  • "No you are only mine and I will never let anyone else have you!" she shouted, which made everyone in the hospital look at them.
  • "I already told you, I am married and I will never ever leave my wife for you."
  • "After I gave you my whole self, you will only drop me like a hot potato?" she yelled.
  • "Don't humiliate yourself, Wendy, and you know very well that I am not the only man in your life." he said and left. "Oh, you can ask him to pay for your fake overdosing." he said and left Wendy, who was shocked by what he had said. Other patients who were in the emergency room as well were looking at her.
  • "What are you looking at?" she said, shouting.
  • "Excuse me, we have already discharged you and have already told you that you are well and not sick at all. Please leave the premises." the nurse told her and Wendy gave her a sharp glare.
  • ‘I will make sure to destroy your marriage and that woman will never, ever love you.’ She promised herself and walked out and met her friend.
  • “Did you capture a perfect photo?” she asked.
  • “Of course, look,” her friend said, and showed it to Wendy.
  • “Very good, send me that.” she said and smiled wickedly.
  • Jefferson didn't go home after he left the hospital. He decided to go to the bar he usually goes to whenever he has to think about something. He rented a private room as usual and had a drink by himself.
  • He had a high tolerance of alcohol, so he needed to order a really hard drink because he wanted to make himself numb to everything that had happened the whole day. He thought about Noris and his love for his wife. He never thought that he was willing to let go of the chance to join the company because of the woman he loved.
  • And then his wife, Celina, who had no plans on staying with him in the same room. He thought that they had understood each other as they both agreed to this marriage and that they would be giving them a chance. But it turned out that he was wrong. That's what he thought.
  • Back in their house, the moment Jefferson left their room, Celina was thinking that he had left because he still couldn't accept the fact that they were married. She decided to wait for him to come back and talk to him about them. No matter how sleepy and tired she was, she still waited for him. But all her hope that they would be able to make their marriage work washed away when she saw him leaving the house and thought that he would be going to Wendy, and thought the same way about Jefferson. She decides to talk to him once he's back, so she just gets back to their bed and sleeps.
  • Jefferson thought it was now on Wendy and realized that he wasn't hurt but feeling disappointed and his ego being stepped on by her. He wanted to let that go but he couldn't. He knew that one time or the other she would make sure to get back at her. He was honest and loyal to him during their relationship and he never thought that someone was sharing with him with his girlfriend.
  • He intended to find out who that man was and he was sure that everything he gave to Wendy, he was part of it. In short, they were together cheating on him. Before he could finally sleep in his private room, he made a decision to leave the country and let Celina handle the company while he would go to Kenom Country to handle their branch Resort and Casino chain.
  • The main company that he had been focusing on was the bank they owned that had a branch in almost every city and municipality in Croas Country. He thought that Celina would be able to handle it.
