• Damien meticulously cleaned his gun, determined to rid his mind of Crystal. But the more he tried to forget her, the more her face invaded his thoughts. Frustrated, he let out a sigh.
• Lucian alerted him to a car parked outside the club. "Let's go, Max," Damien whispered, stepping out of his car and pulling his hood over his head.
• The mysterious man exited his car and headed straight into the club. Damien and Max approached the man's vehicle together. Damien retrieved a blade, puncturing the tires one by one, watching as they deflated. Just as he was about to return to his car, a bullet whizzed past his ear, grazing it slightly.
