Chapter 13

  • AUTHOR POV
  • Anthony, Damien’s father, was engrossed in his study room, surrounded by shelves filled with books and artefacts. The room exuded an air of mystery and knowledge. As he delved into his work, his phone suddenly vibrated, interrupting the silence. Curiosity piqued, he glanced at the caller ID and swiftly picked up the phone.
  • "Hazel, is there a problem?" he inquired, his voice laced with concern. Hazel, a witch known for her extraordinary abilities to predict the future and see things beyond the ordinary, was on the other end of the line.
  • "My lord Damien," she began, her voice trembling with fear, "there is something terribly wrong."
  • Anthony's heart skipped a beat. "What is wrong with my son?" he demanded, his voice filled with urgency as he rose from his seat, his eyes sc
  • anning the room for answers.
  • "He has been stabbed," Hazel revealed, her words dropping like a bombshell, shattering the tranquillity of the room.
  • "What?!" Anthony exclaimed, his voice laced with a mix of shock and anger. His mind raced, trying to comprehend the gravity of the situation.
  • "Where is he?" he demanded, his voice now filled with a sense of urgency and determination.
  • "I don't know, my lord," Hazel responded, her voice tinged with helplessness.
  • Frustration and worry consumed Anthony as he abruptly ended the call and dialled Max's number, his trusted confidant and ally.
  • "Max, where is Damien?" he questioned, his voice strained with worry.
  • "My Lord, he left in a hurry. I have no idea where he went," Max replied, his voice filled with concern.
  • "Damien has been stabbed," Anthony revealed, his voice trembling with a mix of fear and anger.
  • "What? How is that possible?" Max exclaimed, his disbelief evident in his voice.
  • "Don't ask me, track his location now," Anthony ordered, his voice firm and resolute. Time was of the essence, and he would stop at nothing to find his son and ensure his safety.
  • ****************************
  • After what felt like an eternity of searching, their eyes finally landed on Damien, lying motionless beside his car. The sight sent a wave of panic through Anthony and Max, their hearts pounding in their chests.
  • "Damien, Damien, open your eyes!" Anthony shouted, his voice filled with desperation as he lightly slapped Damien's face, hoping for any sign of life.
  • "Why isn't his wound healing?" he asked, his voice trembling with fear.
  • "Oh no, I think he's been stabbed with the silver knife," Max said, his voice filled with dread.
  • "How the hell did they get the silver knife? Help me get him up," Anthony exclaimed, his mind racing with thoughts of who could have done this to his son.
  • At that moment, they knew there was only one person who could help them - Hazel. Without wasting another second, they rushed Damien into the car and sped off towards her place, their hearts pounding with a mix of hope and fear.
  • "Hazel!" Anthony yelled as they arrived at her doorstep, his voice filled with urgency.
  • "Take him to the altar," she commanded, her voice steady and filled with a sense of purpose.
  • They carefully carried Damien to the altar, laying him down gently as Hazel began to chant a spell. The air around them seemed to crackle with energy as her eyes turned white and her hair stood on end, a testament to the immense power she possessed.
  • But just as quickly as the power had surged through her, it seemed to drain away. Hazel collapsed
  • to the ground, blood spilling from her lips, leaving Anthony in a state of shock.
  • "Hazel!" he cried out, rushing to her side and cradling her in his arms.
  • "The girl...she is the only one who can help him now...he is too powerful for me," she whispered, her voice barely audible before succumbing to unconsciousness.
  • Anthony's mind raced with questions. Who was this girl? How would he find her? Time was running out, and he couldn't bear the thought of losing his son.
  • He carried Hazel inside her house, ensuring she was comfortable before stepping back outside.
  • "Damien," he pleaded, tapping him gently once more. "Come on, get the fuck up!"
  • "Come on, son, I can't lose you," he continued, his voice filled with a mix of desperation and anger. "Aren't you a powerful vampire? How can a silly knife kill you?"
  • Max, who had been silent until now, spoke up. "That girl...I think I know who she is."
  • "You know who she is?" Anthony yelled, his frustration boiling over as he grabbed Max by the neck. "Why didn't you say so?"
  • "Please...I don't know where she lives, and I was sure she was the one," Max managed to choke out, his voice strained.
  • "It's fucking dark now! How will we find her?" Anthony's anger threatened to consume him.
  • Anthony was slowly losing control. If he lost his anger, the town would be in trouble.
  • His son lay motionless on the altar, barely alive. Their only hope, Hazel, had also fainted.
  • Whoever did this, he wouldn't spare them.
  • And the girl? How would he find her tonight? He had never seen her before.
  • ******************************
  • "SAVE HIM".
  • "SAVE HIM".
  • Crystal's heart raced as the voice grew more urgent and insistent. The pain in her head intensified, throbbing with each word.
  • As she lay in bed, her body trembling with both pain and fear, Crystal couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong. The voice echoed through her thoughts, its urgency piercing through her consciousness.
  • She clutched her head, tears streaming down her face, pleading for the voice to stop. The pain was unbearable, as if her skull was being crushed under an immense weight. She felt helpless, trapped within her own mind.
  • Who was this mysterious voice? Why was it tormenting her? And who was the person she needed to save? The questions swirled in her mind, causing her anxiety to skyrocket.
  • "Please, I can't take it anymore," she whimpered, her voice barely audible. "Just leave me alone."
  • But the voice persisted, its relentless plea echoing through her thoughts. Crystal's mind raced, desperately trying to piece together the puzzle. Who was in danger? Who needed her help?
  • I said, stop it!" she screamed, her voice shattering everything in the room.
  • Suddenly, she began moving as if she were being controlled, her body acting on its own.
  • Slowly, she walked out of her apartment, making her way down the desolate road.
  • Eventually, she arrived at a charming green house, and in that moment, she regained her senses.
  • "Oh my God, how did I end up here?" she whispered, bewildered.
  • The surroundings were adorned with
  • beautiful green flowers as she stepped inside the house, exploring her surroundings until her eyes fell upon a small altar, where someone lay.
  • Driven by curiosity, she approached the altar, only to be startled by a voice from behind.
  • "Who are you?" the person asked, causing her to jump in fright.
  • She turned to face him, her expression filled with shock.
  • "Damien??" she called out.
  • "No! He wasn't Damien. He looks older than Damien but looks exactly like him.” she thought.
  • "Max, what are you doing here?". she asked.
  • Max looked at the man before responding.
  • "Damien has been stabbed." he said.
  • Her heart skipped a beat.
  • But suddenly, she burst out laughing as they stared at her in shock.
  • "Are you kidding me? How can they stab him? How can someone who can summon a demon be injured?" she chuckled.
  • They maintained a serious expression, and that's when she realised they were not joking.
  • "Who is she?". Anthony asked again.
  • "She is the girl Damon has been seeing," Max replied.
  • He looked at her and suddenly grabbed her arm, leading her towards the altar.
  • "Please save Damien." he pleaded in a commanding tone, as if it was difficult for him to ask for help.
  • "Only your blood can save him now". he added
  • "My blood? What? No!". Crystal exclaimed.
