- Megan had never cared much about Valentine’s Day, but when it rolled around, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of loneliness. She found herself wanting to drink a box of wine and drown her sorrows in takeout.
- There would be no tears, but her inner feelings of inadequacy would continue to weigh heavily on her as she contemplated how she’d managed to accomplish nothing in her nearly four decades on the planet, including finding a man who could tolerate her for more than a few months at a time.
