Chapter 19 His Wife

• “M-Mateo. Why are you here?” Beatrice asked. She stopped moving and looked at Mateo who was closing the door. He looked at him like she said something wrong.
• “Why? It’s my house and my room. Is it wrong that I am here?”
• Beatrice opened her mouth. She wanted to tell him that he shouldn’t be in the room with her. But it would just make her stupid because he was saying the truth. Beatrice looked away. But she saw Mateo was already stripping off his clothes and it made her heart skip. She sat down in bed and tried to calm herself.
