Chapter 20 The Forced Marriage

• "I came through here in chains," Fiel whispered, his eyes shifting into a feline, predatory yellow to pierce the gloom. "I return as a storm."
• Deep in the bowels of the underground city, the atmosphere was far from celebratory. The Alpha Pharaoh Kingtin stood in a cavernous chapel carved from black obsidian. Standing beside him was Alpha Derwish, a hulking brute of a werewolf whose breath smelled of raw meat and whose eyes held no spark of mercy.
• "The Dragons are circling above like vultures," the Pharaoh hissed, his voice echoing off the damp walls. "They think they have won because they hold the sky. But as long as I hold the Princess and the bloodline of the Wolf, I have a tether to their souls."
