- Conrad was amused and exasperated at the same time. He kept telling her not to rush it but in the last week alone, she said it a few times already.
- “Are you sure? Please, Alice. Give it more time.”
- “I’m sure. Of course, it would feel uncomfortable at first, but that’s to be expected. You won’t fault me for that, would you? I’ll manage to adapt. With you around, I’m sure no one would dare to harm me.”
