Chapter 2 Just Six months

• A Years Later
• "Welcome to Bryxton City." Clara's best friend Tricia screamed from outside as she ran into the new apartment like she owns it, her two hands flipping in the air at times she acted crazy like a little girl.
• "Thank you so much. Tricia, please could you help me place this picture besides the television" Clara handed over her mother's picture to her immediately after she walked in and she carefully dropped it beside the TV.
• "Finally, Clara, I am happy that you decided to relocate to Bryxton after many years of persuading you, '' Tricia muttered as she sat down on a chair facing the television.
• "Well I have no choice, this is the only place I could come" She mumbled under her breath while she continued with what she was doing.
• Clara Everdeen is the only daughter of her mother. She doesn't have a father according to what her mother told her that her dad left her at a tender age when she was barely 5 and he got married to another woman because of her wealth. Her mother never showed her father or even talked about him so she never experienced the love of a father.
• Well, maybe all men are the same as she thought, just like her father and the father of her daughter.

• Clara works as a waitress in one of the biggest restaurants in Bryxton City. Today she is having an evening shift at work so the little time she has before then she has decided to use it to tidy her house before she will go see the doctor. Her today's activity is already planned out.
• "Oh my God! Clara come out, come see you need to see him" Tricia screamed from the sitting room while Clara paused for a while as she wondered what was wrong with her friend for screaming so loud before she continued with what she was doing.
• "Clara you can't miss seeing this handsome billionaire please come out" she screamed again.
• "Tricia, what's going on are you okay?" Clara yelled also from the living room she knows that her friend is a crazy girl but this is getting out of hand.
• "Just come out."
• Reluctantly she left the things she was doing as she made her way toward the sitting room to see for herself.
• She stopped on her track as she stared at the screen before her. Right now she feels like strangling her best friend. How could she be stressing her out when she is already stressed out?
• "I wanted to show you something but his video is gone," Tricia said.
• "Who is the person?" Clara crossed her hand under her chest in anger as she stared at her friend from the corner of her eyes.
• "It's Alexander the most popular billionaire in Bryxton City." She turns and faces Clara her eyes sparkling with joy like she is trying to imagine some impossible scene in her head "Gosh Clara you have to see this young man you will go crazy and beg for a one-night stand with him"
• "What the f*ck! Tricia, are you for real?" Clara rolled her eyes, giving Tricia a poker face. What could be so special about this so-called guy?
• "Clara you should have come out earlier to behold his fine handsome face all girls in Bryxton are dying to be with him"
• "All girls? but I am not dying to be with him" She shrugs her shoulders, her eyes not leaving her best friend.
• "Well, that's because you didn't know him besides you never have any likeness for men but Alexander is different" she turns and switches the television to another channel.
• "Even if I should meet your so-called rich billionaire I am not gonna ever catch feelings for him" She rolled her eyes and turned around to leave.
• "I don't think there is a need for you to have a crush on him because soon he will be getting married to Ella Adelson" immediately Clara heard that legs remain stuck on the floor at the mention of that name.
• "Which Ella are you talking about?" She turned around to face Tricia.
• "The popular singer that we all know will be getting engaged with him today"
• "No way, you can't be serious." Clara opened her eyes wide in shock as she walked towards Tricia and she sat down next to her. She needed to hear more about the engagement. She is a big fan of Ella. How could she be so busy that she didn't have an idea that her favorite artist will be getting married soon.
• "Well according to what I heard Alexander and Ella have been dating for the past three years although they always break up and come back again after many months I am f*cking happy that my celebrity crush will be getting married to her" Tricia screamed holding her hands around her chest like she is the one getting married.
• Clara wanted to say something but she paused for a while as she took her time to study Tricia who is now beyond happy like she is the one to be engaged soon.
• "How did you get all this information and rumors?" the question slipped out of Clara's mouth.
• "Have you forgotten who I am? a journalist" she pulled her shoulder high with pride.
• "Oh sure," Clara mumbled, how could she forget what her friend is aspiring to become?
• "Enough of your gossip miss journalist" She stood up from the chair and walked her way back inside the room to continue from where she stopped.

• Now that Clara has successfully escaped from her tormentor through the help of her friend she has decided to take her health seriously and look after her daughter.
• There's no way Kyle would be able to trace her since Bryxton City is far away from where he is residing.
• She sat before the doctor as she watched him write some notes on the paper before him. She has come to take her test to know the stage of her heart problem which she has been battling with since she was 15 years old. After she lost her mother, her health issues worsened because she wasn't taking her medication properly and she was eating the type of foods that she shouldn't eat. The only thing on her mind then was to just die but if she ends up dying who will look after her five years old daughter.
• "Miss Clara, after conducting the test on you, your heart problem has worsened to the highest level." The doctor broke the news to her as he watched her innocent worried face.
• "What should I do now, doctor? I am ready to take my drugs properly"
• "I am sorry miss, you taking your drugs won't be enough anymore at this stage." The doctor paused for a while thinking of the best way to break the most bitter part of the news to her.
• "What did you mean doctor?" Her voice cracked as she tried her best not to think of the worst.
• "Your heart problem has now enlarged into coronary Artery disease called CAD and your chances of living are very slim."
• Her eyes twitch as she watches the doctor with keen interest, her hand grips tight to her lap as she pinches it lightly afraid of the bad news that the doctor is about to break.
• "Miss Clara, you have less than six months to live on earth." the doctor broke the sad but real news to her
• It took everything in her not to break down in tears, she wanted to face the doctor and say to his face that he is lying because she promised to spend more time with her daughter after they have escaped bondage but now it turns out that all those dreams will just perish because she has just six months to live.

• Just Six...month
• She has just six months to stay with Alice.
• She will be dying in the next six months...just six months to live.
