Chapter 3 The announcement

• Aqua Pov:
• I stood in front of the mirror as I packed my hair into a ponytail. I can't help but reminisce on the event of last night
• ( Flashback )
• "Are you okay?" He asked me making my head snap towards him
• "Why do you care?" I asked, staring into his hazel eyes that made my heart reverberate every moment I looked at them.
• "I don't know I just want you to be fine" He muttered looking away from my gaze
• "You know Alpha, for someone like you who has a girlfriend and who must have found her mate or not, you shouldn't care too much," I said looking away hating the vibe I'm getting from him. He has always secretly cared for me which gives me butterflies and chills at the same time, deciding to live as the fresh air is becoming suffocating, I bow to him. Though his gaze was on me the whole time, I cared less than to live his presence. I walk into the confinement of my room and wrap myself up in my blanket coiling myself in a bun and hugging my pillow to myself as a second skin I closed my eyes and let the night take over.

• It's still early in the morning and the weather today is all cozy. Yes, today is the long-awaited day all my kind of Omegas have been waiting for. I slip my feet into my sandals that's one of the maid uniforms since I'm among them. Taking one more glance at my simple reflection I think I'm okay.
• I step out of my room, locking the door. As I walk along the hallway that leads to the pack kitchen I can't help but feel this negative chills around me like something bad is going to happen, well I normally get this kind of feeling whenever something bad wants to happen like the morning when my father threw me out of our house and rejected me as his daughter, I was the first to wake up that day and this is exactly the type of chill that I felt.
• I shook my head not wanting to cloud my thoughts with negativity and insecurity. "This is a big day for me and I wore red which is the lucky color I prayed to the moon goddess to bless my day already, so I shouldn't allow insignificant things to put me down, I've been through a lot and I've come out strong in all so I don't think I need to fear anything," I said to myself and pat my chest in a comforting manner.
• I was about to walk into the stairs that lead to the pack kitchen when I saw the Alpha prince walking towards My direction with his hands folded behind his back, his gaze was on me the whole time making me halt on my step as I stood still watching him come close, but then he surprised me when his gaze averted from me and he walked past me like I wasn't standing there, I staggered back out of shock I know it's unlike me like common he owes me nothing, but for long as I have lived here I know he never gets angry at me sometimes he's possessive one me though I took it as nothing knowing that we are literally people of different caliber plus he has a girlfriend so I don't dare have any kind of fantasy of together with him. Only I know of my crush on him. I kept that to myself because it's useless.
• I caress my thumping heart that won't stop beating fast like a tornado maybe because it's hurt over the prince attitude
• "Don't worry dear heart after today our prince charming will come running into our arms" I spoke gently to my heart while caressing it, thanks to that it is still early morning people are not yet walking in the hallway, it's only the maids and Omegas like us that wake up at this hour.
• After making sure my thumbing heart is now beating normally, I took a deep breath in and out and smiled, just like I said nothing is allowed to spoil my day. I climb down the stairs that lead to the Kitchen and met madam Pecki in the kitchen with most of the maid
• "Good morning mam" I greeted kissing her both cheeks, that's how she is to all of us, she's just like the mother that we Omegas I never had.
• "How is your fever?" She asks with a face full of smile and compassion
• "All good ma" I demonstrated with my hands swinging in the air and we burst out laughing
• "Alright child, come there is so much to do," She said, holding my hands and leading me towards the vegetables that needed to be cut for the celebration and ritual at dawn.
• It was dawn already as we were done with the preparation and here I am with my face beaming with smiles and excitement. I walk into my bathroom humming my favorite song ( Who says ) by American singer Selena Gomez. Here in New York we rarely have time to listen to music because Omegas are always busy but we still skip out time from our free time.
• I was done bathing and I wrapped myself with a towel and walked out of the bathroom. I dried my body and used my hair blower to dry my hair. I picked out my white dress, that's my favorite dress. I take it as a good luck charm, white is purity. I wore my matching bra and panties before I wore the white dress, I wore a white stiletto and sat in front of my dressing mirror. I packed my hair in a bun and applied light makeup. I want to look pretty for my prince charming. I might be an Omega but it doesn't mean we are not allowed to be pretty, though I know I'm well endowed.
• I applied a red lip gloss and smashed my lips together. I smiled looking at myself. I think I look like Queen Elizabeth. " Don't flatter yourself," Scarlet my wolf said and I rolled my eyes not wanting to argue with her. I stood up satisfied at my reflection. I walk out.
• As I near the celebration ground which is the open field of the packhouse, the Alpha King chose that arena because the full moon is most visible there. Sounds of music blare in my ear and I can hear noise coming out of the place.
• "Hey Aqua?" Silva my friend nudge me on the shoulder as I try to wriggle my way through the crowd
• "I'm fine" I smile as I look at her she looks so beautiful and participating just like me
• "Wow….Aqua you look so dazzling bet your Prince charming won't take his eyes off you" She giggled and cross her hands over my shoulder
• "Thanks, Silva, you look amazing too"
• "My bad I'm blushing" She held her cheeks in a shy manner.
• "Look Aqua the moon is coming..!!" She shouted to my hearing because of the noise.
• I look up immediately and damn! The Blue Moon is in its full glory shining upon us. I smiled, "Silva I need to check something," I said to her as she nodded and removed her hand from my shoulder, I walked off to the front. I was able to make it to the front after a series of bumping shoulders with a lot of people in the crowd.
• The fire has already been lightened and the priest began with the ritual since the full moon is out. Some Omegas were anxious while some were excited, I'm one of those that are anxious. I stood at a corner till the ritual was over, the moon is now big as it is now in full display.
• A ball light was lifted to the sky showing that the ritual is over. I wanted to go to a secluded place as the noise was becoming too much but suddenly I halted on my step when a sweet and intoxicating scent caught my nose. I looked around to know where it's coming from but I didn't smell it from the crowd. I was still searching when I saw Silva hugging a guy, "Could he be her mate?" I shrug off the thought since that's the least of my problems.
• I trail the scent with my nose and the more But it wasn't leading me out as it seems it's coming from my front. Looking up is the Alpha and the members of the council, Luna, the Alpha prince, and his girlfriend.
• "Could it be what I'm thinking?" I thought as the Alpha prince's gaze was all on me? I walk towards the stage where they are not afraid of anything at the moment. The more I walked up the stage the more the scent became strong, I pinned my gaze on the Alpha prince the whole time.
• I stood in front of the Alpha prince and everywhere suddenly turned silent even the music stopped but I cared less.
• "Mate" I muttered, as tears threatened to blur my eyes. He knows he was my mate yet He never told me he even has a lover.
• My worst nightmare is about to happen and I don't think I'm ready for it. Is that why he showed me kindness and his possessive attitude? He knew I'm his mate! He never told me, he kept it away from me and even have a girlfriend, because I'm an Omega
• "So you knew I'm your mate and yet you never told me instead you got yourself a girl," I said finally letting out my tears, I could see my mom and sister seated beside my father, but there was no pity in their eyes, those are not my family they rejected me in every way.
• I look at Alpha Zethro and ask with a shaky and trembling voice "Why?...why did you do this to me why….?" I roared suddenly needing an answer as an escape my head couldn't take.
• "I needed a strong Luna to rule the pack with me, not a weakling Omega," He said without pity of how I had felt. I look at him to see the man that uttered those words, the one I have always crushed on, the one I have loved secretly then I know what it means to be broken as I felt my heart break into million pieces
• "I cannot have you as my mate"
• "I Alpha zethro Manec rejects you, Aqua Ramon, as my mate!" He screamed looking calm making me wonder if he's still the same prince that cared for me and always possessive, and the crowd echoed. I felt my feet wobble as I cannot stand them anymore. These people caused pain, the family rejected me, and yet my mate, who was my last hope, not only rejected me but also cheated on me and is still on it. I wipe away my tears. They don't worth it, they don't!
• "Well you have said yours now I will say mine" I wipe my tears, deciding to be strong I look at all their faces,
• "I Aqua Ramon reject you Alpha Zethro as my mate not to have anything to do with you and I strip myself off anything connecting me to you in the presence of this full moon," I said to him raising my right hand to the moon. They were all surprised, especially the prince who looked shocked but I cared less.
• I turned to my parents, "I Aqua stand before this sacred moon and reject Ramon's family as mine and strip myself off every bond I have with you people, from today on I'm no longer Aqua Ramon but Aqua Dave"
• "My Child…!!" My mom shouted and made to come close to me but I stopped her with a wave of my right hand, I took a glance at the Alpha prince my mate who rejected me and whom I also rejected, I look at my family who rejected me too, and concluded that this pack should be my past its time for me to live, I walk out and went into my room I gathered some of my things and came back and still met them in shock
• I came back and stood in front of them again with all my things, my mom is already on her feet.
• "I'm living this pack which caused me nothing but pain and rejection and I free myself from anything that has to do with these pack and never to step my feet here again," I said and turned around,
• "Aqua" I heard a sob and turn to see Silva my only friend I engulf her in a hug
• "Thanks, you are the only one I can call a friend here but I'm sorry I have to live this way," I said to her breaking the hug
• "Take care," She said smiling and masking her tears
• "Thanks" I muttered, I turned around once more and looked at them before facing my front and started walking away. I may not know where I'm going but I hope that for once fate should have mercy on me.
• "Aqua……!!!" I heard my mother's scream but it's too late as I never turned back till I walked out of sight.
