Chapter 5 Saved By The Bell

• “He,he,he pencil sharpener, my ass. You’re learning fast my girl…”
• Smilingly Remo reached out his bag and took the sharpener. Although outside the school he would always tease Astrid, he has to prevent the current situation to escalate further.
• “Here Astrid, you can borrow mine.” Remo said with enough audacity to make sure Ms. Jasmin could hear it.
• Astrid heaved a sigh of relief as she finds back her composure. She believed Remo was able to read between the lines and understands she was lying.
• ‘No wonder so many girls are interested on him.” She thought with a pounding heart.
• Unbeknownst to Astrid, Remo has a very strong ability to comprehend internal and external awareness just by looking ones feelings and emotions --- most especially when the person is always around.
• The funny thing about it is he can put his mind on the entity who was observing his thoughts and no longer on his inner self. He knows the obvious point rather than the background information that is happening even when Astrid will not require any help.
• Throughout their engagement, jealousy was the root cause of Astrid body language. That’s because judging from her internal state of mind, she wanted him to keep away from being seduced by other women.
• It’s a basic human emotion just like happiness or anger. She could not turn it on or off, even dictate or restrained her strong emotions. It’s a part of human nature that radiates from her heart.
• After the exam was over, Remo quickly reach out Astrid when the teacher has gone and left the room.
• “Are you really that petty, theart?” he softly asked.
• “Remo, how dare you! Do you think that you are not wrong here?”
• Astrid replied with a temper with her heads up high.
• “I’m not petty and to tell you the truth Mr. Remo, --- from now on, I have no objection to what you do.”
• “Do you get me?”
• Astrid stands up with her red eyes like it was going out from its socket in frustration.
• “Please stay away from me and not just you, even other guys.”
• Fuming madly Astrid started to walk away after carrying her things.
• Remo was moved half-smilingly by following Astrid in amusement.
• “Wait a minute, okey? Why would I keep away from you theart? This was all a misunderstanding. I was only looking at Laura. There was no feeling there, you know? Do you not even consider her today that she was indeed a very seductive woman, huh? Which man would you think will not give her a second look with that outfit?”
• Remo countered with a barrage of questions and criticism.
• “Are you aroused Remo? Do you think I’m not even comparable to Laura? Wanna see me put on a bikini so you can physically google my body?”
• Astrid said angrily as she turned her back on him.
• “Jerk! I hate you!” Her voice was trembling but still very pleasant to the ears.
• Remo understood the situation. Astrid pride was wounded when her emotions was triggered. If faced with a true challenge, she finds it hard to manage her inner feelings and envy.
• Significantly, it affected her so much that her response to threats from other young girls will not be tolerated. She felt inferior when judging herself against the success of others . These feelings can be a sign of deeper emotional issues, maybe to someone, a friend, or her relationship with the family.
• “So, even if there was no relationship involved, she would not believe it. Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. I need to be more vigilant…hehehe.”
• Remo taps his palm on his forehead.
• Although he has not officially proposed to Astrid yet, it made quite sense that she wanted a clean and pure relationship. If one is truly in love with someone, never cross the line and care another woman.
• Astrid, likewise, also felt Remo was not her lover yet --- but she knows that many guys, not only him, never paid attention to such details or were unwilling to do so.
• Naturally, for the sake of a woman, they should understand when getting romantically link with the opposite sex. It means they have to cut contact or even look another person whose gender identity is a female. If they do, it will mean they are disrespectful and ingratitude to the person they liked.
• “No matter how generous Astrid was, she would never accept any reason when the person already involved was Remo.”
• “Oh my god, am I being selfish already?”
• “Alright, Alright, relax will you? From now on, I will spend all the time with you if that will make you happy, okey?.…”
• Remo raised his palm while holding his chest on the other hand.
• When he feels that no one is around them, he asked Astrid with eyes flickering.
• “Are we on now, theart?”
• Hearing that, Astrid walks ahead nervously without even replying.
• “Honk, Honk Honk,” suddenly a beep from a park Rolls Royce was heard at the gate entrance.
• “My dad is here; he will take me home. See you next week.”
• Astrid hurriedly moved along by foot leisurely towards the car as if nothing happens.
• “Bye Remo Hunter.!”
• “Who would have thought that this man is so adorable. Most of the guys who tried to connect with her are only interested in her face and money.”
• While Astrid reads so much information about relationships, she soon realized her feelings with Remo had already started the moment she saw him the first time.
• Not only was she smitten by his good looks and personality, but his interaction with him ranked the first among all unforgettable experiences. She loves his jokes and feels very happy about the simpler little things that were happening between them.
• Interestingly, she even missed him so much during weekends when there was no school. She likes him to be always around as he never ceases to amaze her. Even with him like that, a poor guy can still win over her heart.
• Astrid opened the side door of the car under countless curious eyes nearby. She gently set foot at the back seat. His father Don Alfonso was busy browsing important messages over his phone and did not even dare to look at her.
• “Hi dad” she casually kissed his cheeks and sat down beside him.
• His father only nodded, not even turning his head while completely ignoring her presence.
• “Hello Astrid.” he said without looking back and continued what he was doing.
• Astrid keeps quiet and looks outside the car window as her thoughts drifted away.
• She is not the type to fall someone easily to a guy. She belongs to a well-to-do and respected family. They own the biggest supermalls in Manila and all over Quezon City.
• Their corporate business portfolio is ahead of these trends and other firms were even requesting their family for investment opportunities into merging companies with the Lopezes.
• With powerful connections in the business sector, the investment they owned is growing faster. As consumers shifted most of their spending on line, they quickly adopted this new way of trend in shopping.
• The company becomes even bigger and stronger. Almost two-thirds of their retail businesses in multiple industries were built by a solid foundation from over twenty-five decades ago by their ancestors. And it still rapidly expanding now worth billions.
• Many young man who are sons of rich heirs have been pestering her like a fly since she reaches adolescence. But no one among them could come near her heart like Remo Hunter.
