- Brooke swallowed and slowly climbed out of the car. "So, how is this going to work? Are you just going to follow me around all day?"
- "It's going to work like this," Alec said and grabbed Brooke's arm. "You're going to follow me around all day." Alec pulled Brooke towards the school and she scowled.
- "You don't have to manhandle me," she snapped and shoved him away from her. "I'm perfectly fine not being touched!"
