Chapter 23
- The moonlight filtered through the treetops as I awoke, feeling dizzy and disoriented. My injured paw throbbed with a constant ache, but the sight of the familiar den calmed my troubled mind. Cierce, beside me, skillfully worked with herbs for a bandage. I tried to rise, but the pain intensified, forcing me to stay lying down.
- “How... how did I end up here?” my voice came out weak and hoarse.
- Cierce looked at me, her worried eyes reflecting the dim light entering the den. “I found you in the forest. Unconscious.”
