• “Snap out of it, Emily!” Emily scolded herself. “He is an alpha, ruling the kingdom, and you’re just a slave breeder of him!” she hissed.
• Emily was facing the mirror in her bathroom, scolding her reflection against the word she had said to the alpha.
• “You have to be strong, for the baby in your womb…” she said, half smiling. “…don’t think of the alpha’s feelings; it was just nothing to him. You are nothing to him, Emily.” She reminded herself.
