• Xavier felt his eyes flutter open and he looked around. A sharp pain surged through his head and he felt a throbbing pain.
• He raised his hand to his face and clenched his fist. 'I am awake' he said to himself inwardly. His eyes darted as far as the room could see while he lay down. He looked beside him and saw a black space.
• Did she not come back to the room yesterday? Or was she already running about her activities? He sat up slowly and felt the pain surge through his whole body like he was dragged around the house.
