Chapter 1 Breaking off the Engagement

  • At the foot of the Iron Tips, in front of a wooden house.
  • Gale Bush reclined on the grandmaster chair, casually using a toothpick, looking calm and at ease.
  • "Gale, are you really planning to leave the mountain?"
  • A gentle wind drifted in.
  • A pale-skinned, stunning woman walked up to him.
  • Dressed in a white T-shirt, her silhouette was impressive.
  • She was his master's first wife.
  • Even in her thirties, she still looked like an eighteen-year-old girl.
  • "Yes, Grand Mistress! Grand Master has set me up with seven fiancées, and I have no idea what kind of strange people they might be. I need to cancel these engagements right away," Gale remarked.
  • "You have to make sure these seven women don't interfere with my big plans for the future of our sect!"
  • Gale nodded with assurance.
  • He was brought up in the temple.
  • When he was ten, his master unexpectedly introduced him to his nine wives.
  • They were all as beautiful as fairies!
  • As if that weren't enough, yesterday his master tossed him seven marriage proposals.
  • He is over sixty years old, and he still doesn't know how to keep quiet for a single day.
  • Isn't he afraid that one day he'll end up dying in bed?
  • "Going down the mountain is fine!
  • "But if you dare to flirt around, just wait and see if I don't cripple you!"
  • Melissa Rice gave him a playful slap on the back of his head.
  • "Ouch, Grand Mistress, you're so fierce! Be careful, if I go down the mountain, I might never come back! Then you'll be left all alone up here, suffering in loneliness!"
  • "What did you say?"
  • Melissa raised her eyebrows in astonishment.
  • "Goodbye, Grand Mistress."
  • Gale grabbed his things and hurried away.
  • Watching Gale depart in the distance, Melissa couldn't help but feel a slight headache.
  • This guy had started studying medicine at three and martial arts at five.
  • His first stop after leaving the mountain was Rockville.
  • With him around, Rockville was sure to be plunged into chaos!
  • But it was a pity.
  • He had left, leaving an empty bed in the house.
  • ...
  • At the mountain foot.
  • Gale caught a ride on a tractor.
  • Then, he called the second mistress' phone number.
  • "Second Mistress, I've come down from the mountain. What task do you have for me?"
  • "A traditional medicine doctor? Absolutely! I'll head there right away!"
  • Gale hung up and muttered, "Sir, can this tractor go any faster?
  • "I'm in a rush!"
  • After a long journey, he finally reached the Rockville Grand Hospital by four in the afternoon.
  • Looking at the busy hallway, he felt excited.
  • He believed this was the start of his happiness.
  • Urban areas were magnificent, filled with beautiful women everywhere.
  • "Hey, stop right there! This is woman care division of the Traditional Medicine Department. No pets or men allowed! Leave right now!"
  • A beautiful nurse in uniform walked up to him.
  • With hands on her hips, she carried herself like a pampered young woman.
  • To her surprise, Gale boldly shook his head.
  • "In medicine, there's no distinction between genders. Even gynaecology has male doctors! Why should traditional medicine be any different? Besides, I'm here to meet someone."
  • "Huh! Go find someone in the lobby!" the nurse responded angrily.
  • "The person I'm looking for said she's right here!" Gale insisted.
  • "Hello, security room? We've got a weirdo in the Traditional Medicine Department. Hurry up and send someone over ... "
  • Before Paige Morrison could finish her words, Gale pressed her hand down.
  • The call ended.
  • Her hand was soft and tender.
  • The touch was genuinely pleasant!
  • "Let go of me! You creep!"
  • Paige let out a startled scream.
  • She frantically swung her arms, but couldn't break free from Gale's grasp in the slightest.
  • "Miss, have you been experiencing irregular menstrual cycles lately, accompanied by occasional chest pain that even painkillers can't relieve?"
  • "You creep!"
  • "Is the pain in your chest accompanied by a lump?"
  • "You ... How dare you ... "
  • Paige stared at him in shock.
  • Although this guy looked a creep, his two statements were strangely accurate.
  • "Hiss ...
  • "Ouch!"
  • Paige suddenly felt a sharp pain in her chest, causing her to stagger.
  • Her vision darkened.
  • She slumped sideways and collapsed.
  • A pair of large hands caught her around the waist, his expression warm as he looked at her.
  • Suddenly, a hand rested on her thigh.
  • Gently, slowly, it began to move upwards!
