Chapter 119 Surprise

She had waited for him so anxiously—this would be her last week in France, and then they would return home together. They hadn’t seen each other for a month; Daniel’s commitments had kept him away too long. By the time he arrived, he was in such a foul mood it was almost visible.
She saw him walk through the gate and ran to embrace him. They had missed each other so much that they blocked the rest of the passengers, unwilling to break their hug. All that time, they had been traveling back and forth, trying to steal a couple of days here and there. Not much time passed between one meeting and the next—maybe two weeks, sometimes less—but bouncing from one place to another had worn them both out.
That’s why the reunion had been explosive. Even early on in that whirlwind schedule, they had realized they needed each other more than they had thought.
