Chapter 2 The Alpha's New Maid

  • Alpha Nathan emerged from his bedroom, his piercing gaze scanning the sitting room as he made his way to his favorite chair. But before he could settle in, Rebecca, his mistress, burst into the room, her face a picture of outrage.
  • "I didn't summon you, Becca," Nathan said, his voice low and even, as he sat down, his eyes never leaving hers.
  • Rebecca's eyes flashed with anger.
  • "I came because I heard news that made my blood boil!" she exclaimed, her voice rising.
  • "You impregnated another woman! How could you, Nathan?"
  • Nathan's expression remained calm, but a hint of annoyance crept into his voice.
  • "Yes, I did. And what business is it of yours?"
  • Rebecca's hands clenched into fists.
  • "Why is she still alive? Why is she in the palace, enjoying your protection and favor? You've always been so ruthless with the others, disposing of them like they meant nothing!"
  • Nathan's eyes narrowed, his voice dripping with condescension.
  • "Do I need your permission before I make decisions? It seems you're forgetting your place, Becca. I am the Alpha, and I will not be questioned by my mistress."
  • The air was thick with tension as Rebecca's face reddened with anger, her eyes flashing with a challenge. But Nathan's gaze remained unyielding, his dominance clear.
  • Rebecca's eyes blazed with fury as she glared at Nathan, her chest heaving with indignation. She had always been the one to satiate his desires, the only one brave enough to meet his piercing gaze. But now, another woman had usurped her place, carrying his heir and threatening her status.
  • With a swish of her skirts, Rebecca spun on her heel and stormed to the inner room, leaving Nathan alone in the sitting room.
  • Her mind raced as she entered the room, her thoughts consumed by the usurper.
  • How could he do this to her? Had she not been faithful, loyal, and passionate enough? The questions swirled in her head like a maelstrom, fueling her anger and hurt. She couldn't shake the image of the other woman, pregnant and smug, enjoying the Alpha's favor.
  • Rebecca took off her dress and and walk to the Bathroom nakedly, she got inside the bathtub,
  • She felt her position, her power, and her heart slipping away, replaced by a stranger who had managed to do what she never could – bear the Alpha's heir.

  • MAID'S QUARTER Court Lady Aurora's voice trailed off as she addressed the maids, her attention diverted by the guard's arrival with Selene in tow.
  • "Is she the one I am expecting?" Aurora asked, her eyes fixed on Selene with a mix of curiosity and calculation. The guard's nod was all the confirmation she needed.
  • "You may leave," Aurora dismissed him, her gaze never leaving Selene's face.
  • As the guard departed, Aurora approached Selene, her steps measured and graceful.
  • "What's your name?" she asked, her tone firm but polite. Selene's response was barely above a whisper.
  • "Selene Lawson." Aurora's nod was curt, her eyes scanning Selene's face and form.
  • "Come with me," she directed, leading the way.
  • Selene followed, her confusion and apprehension evident in her hesitant steps. The maids' whispers trailed behind them, their speculation and gossip hanging in the air like a cloud.
  • "Is she a new maid?"
  • "She's so pretty, please..."
  • "She doesn't look rich, obviously a new maid..."
  • "Heard she's pregnant with the Alpha's heir..."
  • "No, it can't be... she'd probably be dead if she was..."
  • Aurora's voice broke through the murmurs, her words dripping with a mix of curiosity and disdain.
  • "I was told you're the Alpha's new slave girl." Selene's eyes widened, her voice laced with disbelief.
  • "Slave girl?" The implications hung in the air, heavy with unease.
  • Aurora's explanation was curt, her words painting a vivid picture of Selene's new reality.
  • "That's up to the Alpha; all I know is he has the power over you. You have to do everything he wants, every time. Whatever he does to you is nobody's business." Selene's mind raced, her thoughts consumed by the horrors she might face. The only thing that resonated in her head was... sex slave. Is that what the king wanted to use her for? Her fate hung in the balance, suspended between fear and uncertainty.
  • "Oh," Selene murmured, her voice barely audible as Aurora's words of caution hung in the air like an ominous cloud.
  • "I'll advise you to be careful. He's not nice," Aurora reiterated, her eyes gleaming with a knowing intensity.
  • As they finally arrived at the storeroom, Aurora gestured for Selene to stay put while she disappeared into the inner room. The silence was oppressive, heavy with anticipation.
  • A minute ticked by like an eternity before Aurora returned, a black uniform clutched in her hand.
  • "Change into it right away," Aurora directed, her tone firm but laced with a hint of empathy.
  • "I don't know when the Alpha will be back, but you have to start working immediately. Get dressed, and I'll show you a few things you need to know." Selene's inner monologue echoed words of encouragement "You can do this, Selene," Selene said to herself as she took the uniform with a sense of trepidation.
  • The black gown seemed to symbolize her new status, a constant reminder of her enslavement. Selene's eyes widened as she beheld her reflection behind the curtain, the uniform accentuating her curves in a way that made her feel both vulnerable and objectified.
  • "You've got a nice shape, though," Aurora commented, her gaze scrutinizing Selene's form. Selene's smile was fleeting, her mind rebelling against the notion that her appearance mattered in her new role.
  • "Thanks," she muttered, her inner voice lashing out in defiance “Nice shape in a slave uniform? Oh please."
  • With a deep breath, Selene followed Aurora out of the storeroom, her heart heavy with the weight of her new reality.

  • Alpha’s Chamber "Here's the Alpha's chamber," the maid announced, her voice barely above a whisper as they halted in front of the imposing door.
  • Selene's heart raced as she clutched the tray holding Rebecca's food, her palms growing sweaty.
  • The maid's eyes locked onto hers, conveying a silent warning.
  • "Be careful, she's quite harsh," she cautioned, her words dripping with a mix of empathy and trepidation.
  • The maid's gaze lingered for a moment before she turned and disappeared down the corridor, leaving Selene alone to face the daunting task ahead. Selene's sigh was heavy with apprehension as she gazed up at the door, her mind racing with worst-case scenarios.
  • "Thanks," she whispered to the empty hallway, her voice trembling.
  • With a deep breath, Selene steeled herself and pressed the doorbell, her eyes scanning the opulent chamber as she entered.
  • The air was heavy with tension, and the silence seemed to vibrate with Rebecca's displeasure. Selene's heart raced faster, her senses on high alert as she approached the Alpha's mistress, the tray trembling in her hands. She tried to reassure herself, thinking.
  • "This shouldn't be that scary, right? The Alpha isn't even here yet."
  • But her confidence was short-lived. After five minutes, the door opened, and Rebecca stood before her, radiating anger and disdain.
  • Selene's thoughts were a jumbled mix of awe and indignation.
  • "How can he be so heartless to young ladies when he has a beautiful lady like this at home?" she thought. Her wolf, Lupa, whispered "She's just his mistress..." and Selene sighed slowly.
  • "Good evening, my lady..." Selene began, but Rebecca cut her off, her glare piercing.
  • "Who are you?" she spat, her eyes raking over Selene's form. Selene's voice trembled.
  • "I'm...I'm new here." Rebecca's anger escalated.
  • "New?! So why are you serving food already??" Selene's words faltered, and Rebecca's fury boiled over. A stinging slap landed on Selene's face, and the tray crashed to the floor.
  • Selene's anger surged, and she raised her hand to retaliate, but a deep voice froze her in place.
  • "What are you trying to do?" the king's cold tone asked from the shadows. Selene's heart skipped a beat as her eyes met his, her defiance wilting under his piercing gaze.
