Chapter 9
- TIA POV
- I got up very early just to make breakfast since it’s been a while since I have gotten the time to cook.
- I strolled inside the kitchen and found three of the maids setting to start making breakfast.
- “Good morning ma’am.” They choired in unison.
- “Good morning.” I answered.
- “What would you like us to get you?” One of them asked, politely.
- “I don’t actually need anything. I want to make breakfast today and would need a little help.”
- “We would love to help.” The other two responded.
- “Great. Let's get to work then.” I stated as we all set to work.
- It didn’t take me much time to make the meals with the help of the maids. After making sure the meals were served at the dining table, I instructed one of the maids to inform my parents of breakfast before I head back to my room to take my bath.
- After taking the shortest shower ever, I changed into a casual short gown and headed to the dining area to find my parents waiting for me.
- “Good morning dad.” I walked over to him and pecked him on the cheek.
- “Good morning sunshine. I trust you had a good night's rest?”
- “Yes, I did dad. Good morning mom.” I answered, moving over to my mom and pecked her on the cheek as well before taking my seat beside dad.
- “I heard you made breakfast?” He asked with a smile as the maids set to dish the meals out but I stopped them.
- “You all can leave. I will serve them myself.” I said and got on my feet and began to dish out their meals.
- “I know you did this honey.” Dad confessed after taking a bite of the breakfast sandwich.
- “You’re so sweet, dad.”
- “I know you did for me. Thank you, sunshine.”
- “Thanks dad.” I beamed and served myself as he kept praising my cooking which brought so much happiness in my face to see him perfectly back with us.
- ANDREW POV
- “It’s such a great honor to do business with you, Mr Walton.” The elderly man uttered with a broad smile which I nodded in response.
- I don’t get why someone would constantly be adamant on doing business when I don't know the great impact his company will have on mine but I can’t be selfish without giving him a try.
- However, if his company is able to impress me then I will accept to sign a contract deal with him.
- “Frank will see you off outside.”
- “Thank you Mr Walton. Have a nice day.” He added while I nodded again as he walked out of my office with Frank.
- I went back with the file I was working on when Frank walked back inside the office.
- “What else is on my schedule today?”
- “You have a broad meeting at eleven thirty while the marketing presentation is post-lunch.”
- “Okay.” I replied checking my waist watch to see it was ten minutes past eleven.
- "Sir... How is your dad's health?"
- "He's still the same Frank that's why I agreed with this wife hunting for a thing in the first place to see new development in his health."
- "I'm sure he will be alright once you get married."
- "I hope so too."
- "And I pray you find a beautiful and dashing woman as a wife." The moment he said the words, I threw him a deadly glaze which made him apologize immediately.
- "Every lady you see out there is no different with that bitch who got my dad in that situation which is why I can't fall for anyone not to talk of taking anyone as my life partner. I hope you understand what I mean?" I explained to him.
- "I do understand sir. I'm sorry for saying those words."
- "It's fine Frank. I just hope you don't make the wrong mistake of falling for a woman who is as demonic as Noami."
- "I won't sir."
- "Good. Once it's time for the board meeting, come inform me."
- "I will sir." He responded and walked out of the office as the old memories of the past resurfaced like it happened just yesterday.
- TIA POV
- I went over to the company after Ella, my secretary, called to inform me concerning one of the shareholders who was creating a scene inside the company.
- I'd told my dad about it which he suggested I should go and handle the situation before we discuss the solution to carry out concerning the company.
- After a few minutes, I arrived at the company and walked in responding to the staff greetings before making my way to my office.
- I found my secretary seated on her desk as she rushed towards me with a worried expression.
- “Thank goodness ma’am. He’s inside the office waiting for you.” She uttered.
- “Let go, then.” I urged her as I opened the door to my office to find Mr Sebastian seated on a chair facing my desk.
- “You can go Ella, I will handle the problem alone with him. I know he has been a pain in the ass ever since I took over the company.”
- “Are you sure ma’am?”
- “Yes, I’m so sure. I know the right thing to do now.” I confessed.
- “Okay ma’am.”
- This is the right time to put him in his position. He has always been against my ideas and everything ever since I took over the company and I’m pretty sure he was the one who went against my request of informing my dad about the situation of the company.
- "What was all the noise I heard you were ranting about your shares or something?" I spoke rudely, not minding that he was older than me.
- He has always despised everything I do but today I will make him understand I am not such a fool who will sit back and just watch him humiliate me.
- "Watch your words young lady. I blame your father for not giving birth to a boy child who knows how to handle a company well unlike a girl."
- "Well, I'm not surprised those words are coming from you because you have always hated me right from the start but I'll prove you wrong about a girl child today."
- "What have you got to prove when the company is already a failure because of you!" He said with a sarcastic laugh.
- "A lot more than you can ever imagine Mr Sebastian. I'll hand over your shares but remember this, you will definitely regret ever pulling away from this company because I'll move the company to a greater height."
- "I will love to see you try. All the best anyways."
- "Thank you. Less I forget, I know you were the one who informed my dad about the company's situation which almost put him into a bad situation but luckily your plans failed.
- "The old man needed to know what kind of a daughter you are so I had to do you the honors. Isn't it something you should be thanking me for." He smirked devilishly.
- "You can see yourself out and also meet with the financial management for your shares."
- "Of course I will. All the best Miss Tia. I hope to see you succeed with your almost bankrupt company."
- "I will, Mr Sebastian." I said confidently as he walked out of the office with a grin on his face.
- I will have to do everything in my power to prove him wrong. I just need an opportunity to come my way.
