• The mall was a gigantic place, full of stores and people who seemed to walk in circles, as I saw them at every corner we turned. There were live plants in pots without receiving direct sunlight. And I understood why I had never been to a place like that... Because we didn't have money. And without money, there was nothing to do in that place, since everything was for sale.
• It turns out that Mabel had a lot of money. And we went into all the stores where she saw children's clothes. And she let me choose anything. I would have just chosen a dress and a pair of gold-toed shoes. But she didn't agree and ended up taking so many things that she needed two men to help carry them.
