• "Auntie Rosa, I would be back soon." Alvira giggled, jumping off the bed and following the maid who had come to get her for lunch. "Don't go anywhere." She ordered firmly, which got me laughing.
• "I wouldn't." I promised. I released a sigh of satisfaction as she left. I had spent the past three days, bonding with my little Alvira. She was such a breathe of fresh air, and a productive attempt at distracting myself from what had happened between Ryan and I, three days ago.
