Chapter 26

• Ivy stormed out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel, her hair dripping wet. She thought Victor was gone, but he was sitting on the couch, his eyes fixed on his laptop screen. For a moment, their eyes met, and Ivy felt a shiver run down her spine. Victor quickly looked away, his expression unreadable.
• Ivy's anger boiled over as she realized she was still a prisoner in this house. "I have to go home," she said, her voice firm. "I miss my brothers."
• Victor didn't look up from his laptop. "You won't go anywhere."
