Chapter 4 Kiss Me

  • Luna
  • Morning light shines over my face, waking me up from my peaceful slumber. As I stretched and yawned, the very first thing that I noticed was that I was lying on a giant bed and that too naked in a robe made of the softest silk. Confusion washed over me as I tried to recall how I ended up in this luxurious room, surrounded by opulent furnishings and intricate artwork.
  • Memories of yesterday night filled my mind. ‘Did I sleep with a stranger?' Shit, how can I be so foolish? How worse can my life be? First, my boyfriend and best friend cheated on me; second, I got drunk and harassed in a bar; and now I had one night stand with a person that I didn’t even know about. I am a fool.
  • As I glanced around the room, a sinking feeling settled in my stomach. The realization hit me like a ton of bricks: this wasn't just any luxurious room; it was the penthouse suite of a renowned hotel. How did I end up here? The memories of the previous night were hazy at best, but one thing was clear: I had reached a new low in my life.
  • I cast my eyes around the room. ‘Good thing I am all alone,’ but how am I going to leave this place? All my clothes were wet and dirty, but then my eyes landed on a shopping bag kept in the corner, and checking inside, I noticed there were clothes in my size that appeared to be brand new.
  • Relief washed over me as I quickly changed into fresh attire, grateful for the unexpected solution to my wardrobe dilemma. As I examined the clothes more closely, a note caught my attention, hinting at the mysterious benefactor who had provided me with this unexpected lifeline.
  • Sorry to leave you; some urgent work came up. I hope these clothes fit you well. Wait for me; I'll be back soon. Take care, and stay safe.
  • Curiosity piqued, and I wondered who could have been so kind and thoughtful. The note's cryptic message left me with a sense of intrigue, fueling my desire to uncover the identity of my mysterious benefactor. But I can't stay here. I have embarrassed myself enough that I don't want to add one more person to my list, and who knows what kind of person he is? It's better if I can leave without getting caught.
  • I quickly dressed and gathered my belongings, determined to slip away unnoticed. As I made my way towards the exit, A few more steps, and I was finally out of this fancy hotel without anyone noticing.
  • It's time to move on. I had enough now, weeping over my fate.
  • Fuck you, Serena, and Fuck Levi. I don’t care anymore. I can’t waste my tears on them anymore. Now that I'm free from all the cheaters in my life, I should do something special to celebrate.
  • Going to a bar and drinking is not on my list for now; who knows whom I might encounter next?
  • Maybe I should grab a coffee before going home with my favorite cake from the bakery down the street. Sitting in a cozy café, savoring the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and indulging in a slice of my favorite cake sounds like the perfect way to treat myself after all I've been through. It's time to focus on my own happiness and leave all the negativity behind.
  • I walked to the coffee store, but before I could enter, a big black car stopped in my way as the door opened, and two arms grabbed me inside with him.
  • My heart raced as I realized I had been kidnapped. Fear and panic consumed me as I wondered what was going to happen next.
  • “How dare you?” I shouted, trying to find a way to escape, but couldn’t find one. I turned my head toward the face of the owner of the hands. He seemed familiar, but I couldn't place where I had seen him before. He had a stern expression on his face, and his eyes held a glimmer of recognition. As my mind raced to make sense of the situation, I couldn't help but wonder if there was more to this kidnapping than meets the eye.
  • “Do I know you?" I asked, my voice trembling with fear.
  • “You left, why?”
  • His question caught me off guard, as I struggled to recall any previous encounters with him. The fear in his voice hinted at a deeper connection between us, leaving me even more perplexed about my sudden disappearance.
  • “I don’t know… what are you talking about?" I stammered, desperately trying to piece together the missing fragments of my memory. Pushing him away from my body with all my strength, I managed to create some distance between us. His eyes narrowed, and a mix of confusion and frustration crossed his face.
  • “You forgot who I am, didn't you?" he said, his voice now filled with a mixture of hurt and anger.
  • “Have I met you before?" I asked, my mind racing to recall any past encounters. His expression softened slightly as if he had expected my confusion.
  • "Last night was our first meeting," he replied, his tone now tinged with sadness. "But we shared something special, something unforgettable."
  • "Let's just forget everything that happened last night. I was drunk, and I don't remember anything," I blurted out, hoping to salvage the situation.
  • His face fell, disappointment evident in his eyes. "You don't remember anything?" he repeated, his voice laced with disbelief and hurt.
  • I shook my head, feeling a mix of guilt and frustration. "I'm sorry," I whispered, my voice barely audible. "I wish I could remember, but it's all just blur."
  • "I am sorry. If it made you feel used or taken advantage of in any way," I added, desperately trying to convey my sincerity. "We are both adults, and things happen, but that doesn't excuse my behavior. I should have been more responsible and aware of my actions."
  • He looks confused as he tries to process my words. "What do you mean?"
  • I raised my eyebrow in confusion, unsure of how to explain myself further. "We had sex last night, and I woke up this morning with no memory of it. I don't know what happened or how it happened, but I want you to know that I deeply regret any pain or confusion it may have caused you."
  • "Sex…" I heard him mumble as a small smile crept onto his face. "You really can't remember anything?" I shook my head, feeling a mix of embarrassment and concern. "No, I can't remember anything at all. It's like a complete blackout. I'm sorry if that's hard for you to understand."
  • "You don't remember kissing me passionately or the way your hands touched my body?" he asked, smiling mischievously.
  • I could feel my face flush with a combination of surprise and curiosity. "I wish I did, but honestly, it's all a blank for me," I replied, hoping he would understand my genuine confusion.
  • "What about the time when you scratch my back pulling me closer or the way you whispered my name in my ear?" He continued, his eyes searching mine for any flicker of recognition.
  • I turned my face away, blushing even more intensely as I shook my head in disbelief.
  • He cracked up at my reaction, his laughter filling the car. "Well, I guess I'll just have to remind you then," he said playfully, leaning in closer and tuning my face to him with a mischievous smile. As he leaned in, I could feel my heart racing, unsure of what he had in mind to jog my memory.
  • "Do you want me to kiss you?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. My cheeks flushed even deeper as I hesitated, unsure of how to respond. The anticipation hung in the air, making my heart pound even faster. I don't know what came over me, but at that moment, I found myself leaning in closer, closing the gap between us. The electricity between us was palpable as our lips finally met, and time seemed to stand still. It was a kiss filled with both passion and tenderness, leaving me breathless and craving for more.
