Chapter 2 : Love Bites

  • The next morning, Su Qianqian felt a bit sore from walking, but otherwise she was fine.
  • After checking out of the hotel, she took the company's chauffeur-driven car back to the office with her fellow group members. The company was located in the bustling Kowloon district of City A.
  • Chuangsheng Building had a total of thirty-two floors, and their dance studio was on the fifteenth floor.
  • Their dance teacher taught them a new group dance routine. Usually, Su Qianqian was always the first to learn it, as she had a deep foundation in dance since childhood.
  • But today, she was not in the right state of mind and made mistakes in several simple dance moves.
  • "Su Qianqian, what's wrong? Don't think that just because you have a good foundation, you can slack off!" scolded the dance teacher with a stern face.
  • She looked at the training results of the girl group today and praised An Yating by name, "Everyone should learn from An Yating. If you can't learn it, practice more. One minute on stage is equivalent to ten years of hard work off stage."
  • "Thank you, teacher. I will continue to work hard," An Yating said with a slight smile, her joy shining through her eyes. Normally, she was overshadowed by Su Qianqian and couldn't show her own brilliance.
  • Seeing that everyone was getting tired from practice, the dance teacher clapped her hands and dismissed them for the day.
  • Everyone packed up their belongings, looking exhausted. An Yating walked up to Su Qianqian and put her hand on her shoulder.
  • Envy flashed through her eyes as she looked at Su Qianqian's full chest and slender waist. She said, "Did you not sleep well last night after we switched rooms? It affected your dance practice today."
  • "It's nothing, just a bit of a headache," Su Qianqian replied, her eyes hiding the sadness from last night.
  • Who cares about being aloof? An Yating thought disdainfully.
  • At that moment, she saw Gao Zifeng carrying a bunch of milk tea and entering the room. Su Qianqian was the only one in their seven-member girl group who had a boyfriend.
  • Although she had only just stepped into the entertainment industry, they all wanted to find a male celebrity or director as their boyfriend. Gao Zifeng was just the son of a small company's boss, so they thought Su Qianqian was foolish for choosing him.
  • But the girls had already surrounded Gao Zifeng, eagerly waiting for their afternoon tea.
  • "Gao Shao, you're a bit late today. Is that the new expensive milk tea from Yu CC? I heard it costs forty to fifty yuan per cup. You're really splurging," one of them said.
  • "It's nothing. Save a cup of soy milk for my Qianqian," another said.
  • "My Qianqian really loves it! Here you go, here you go."
  • Su Qianqian's cold gaze fell on Gao Zifeng and her group members, and she thought about the voice she heard on the phone last night, and she gave a cold smile.
  • He was always a playboy. She was the one who believed that he only loved her.
  • Gao Zifeng approached with the milk tea, but Su Qianqian had already put on her oversized coat and backpack. She looked at the cup of milk tea in front of her and coldly refused, "Thanks, but I'm cutting back on sugar recently."
  • With that, she pushed open the door of the dance studio.
  • An Yating, sipping her milk tea, heard Su Qianqian's words and thought to herself, Even with such a great figure, she's cutting back on sugar. The milk tea in her hands no longer tasted good.
  • A hint of jealousy flashed through her eyes as she walked up to Gao Zifeng, deliberately raising her eyebrows and saying, "Gao Shao, did you go too hard on our Qianqian last night? She got scolded by the teacher during practice today!"
  • Last night, they all stayed in separate hotel rooms, and An Yating's words were meant to make Gao Zifeng suspect Su Qianqian.
  • As she expected, Gao Zifeng's brows furrowed, and his smiling face disappeared. He quickly ran after Su Qianqian.
  • Finally, he caught up with her at the exit of the building.
  • "Su Qianqian, I apologize. Last night, I was impulsive and wanted to make you jealous by finding another woman. But there was nothing between us," he sincerely said, grabbing Su Qianqian's hand.
  • His eyes reflected Su Qianqian's appearance - her oval face, straight nose, cold beautiful eyes, and plump, moist lips like cherry blossoms.
  • She was the goddess he had pursued for a long time, and they had only held hands, nothing more.
  • "Slap!" Gao Zifeng slapped himself. "I was wrong. Don't ignore me, okay?"
  • As he spoke, he tried to hold Su Qianqian's soft hand, but she shook him off.
  • Su Qianqian looked Gao Zifeng in the eye, put on her backpack, and clapped her hands together, saying, "Did you tell me that you not only found an actress to act with, but also composed music for me to listen to?"
  • Gao Zifeng's face froze, and with great patience, he said, "Last night doesn't count, right?"
  • "No!" she said firmly, and walked away.
  • But Gao Zifeng caught up from behind, wrapped his arms around her waist, and gently caressed her delicate neck with his head. "Su Qianqian, I've changed so much for you. Isn't that enough? I even stopped fooling around. Last night was just a moment of impulse!"
  • "Even if you admit it, let's break up. I didn't mind how many girlfriends you had or how many women you slept with before we got together," Su Qianqian said.
  • Su Qianqian angrily stomped on Gao Zifeng's shoe with her heel.
  • "Ah!" Gao Zifeng winced in pain and accidentally let go of her.
  • But from behind Su Qianqian, he saw a faint bruise on her slightly open collar.
  • With his experienced eye, he immediately recognized it as a love bite, and one that was left by someone other than himself. Gao Zifeng's face turned black, and he grabbed her wrists in the middle of the road.
  • He bent down to kiss her, but Su Qianqian desperately dodged. She smelled the lingering scent of alcohol and other women's cosmetics on Gao Zifeng, and she mercilessly punched his shoulder.
  • "You must be crazy, Gao Zifeng," Su Qianqian gritted her teeth.
  • Gao Zifeng tightly held Su Qianqian's fair wrist, his eyes bloodshot with anger, and said, "What's wrong with kissing my girlfriend? How come you didn't think about apologizing when you were fooling around with other men?"
  • "What are you talking about?" Su Qianqian's curled eyelashes and black pupils stared directly at Gao Zifeng.
  • "What am I talking about? See for yourself. You brought back the love bite. So, you really did sleep with some random guy last night. Let me guess, was it your bald manager at the company?"
  • "Or was it one of those middle-aged men with beer bellies who received you during commercial performances? Su Qianqian, I was just a bit promiscuous before I met you. You didn't let me touch you, but now you're acting so low!"
  • "What are you blocking? Let everyone see the evidence of your promiscuity."
  • Embarrassing words spilled out of Gao Zifeng's mouth, and he even forcefully tore at Su Qianqian's collar, wanting to expose the love bite to the air.
  • A crowd had gathered at the exit of the building, and tears filled Su Qianqian's eyes. She tightly clutched her clothes, not allowing Gao Zifeng to tear them apart.
  • Her words carried a hint of pleading, "Gao Zifeng, please let me go."
  • "Heh, aren't you proud, my goddess!"
  • Su Qianqian panicked. She stood in the open, feeling as if Gao Zifeng had stripped her naked. But she was just a victim of last night's events. What did she do wrong?
  • "Gao Zifeng, please let me go. I beg you," she pleaded, her voice desperate, echoing the pleas she made on the bed last night.
  • Click—
  • Fu Junqi suddenly slammed on the brakes. He turned his head and saw a pale-faced woman struggling in the arms of a lecherous-looking man.
  • "Honk—" Fu Junqi honked the horn and rolled down the car window. "Get in the car!" He had successfully obtained evidence of the city mayor's corruption in City A last night and had just finished the handover in the building. He was wondering why the woman from last night hadn't contacted him yet when he witnessed this scene.
  • The man's face, turned at a forty-five-degree angle, appeared exceptionally delicate, with a high and straight nose forming a right angle, and deep, slightly sunken eyes that were profound.
