- The next morning, I woke up early despite going to sleep very late at dawn. I still slept outside with only a brown cloth—apparently belonging to Asta—as my bedding. Honestly, I didn’t sleep comfortably because of the mosquitoes biting my skin, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s now full of welts.
- The only sounds in the forest were the soft, alternating songs of birds among the branches. Each chirp clearly reached my ears. The surroundings were incredibly calm.
